Hi It is almost July 3rd Friday,

Hi well it is almost midnight and I thought I would start the thread!!!!! I am safely in Traverse City at Nans. I got there around 0745pm and all is well. Margo and Michael arrived shortly after I did. 2 birds in tow. All is well.
Nan her 7 of her grand kids here and her son and her daughter. They her daughter brought the boat, a big screen tv and some other stuff.
Floyd and Brenda will come tomorrow and so is Phyllis and Jon.
It is cold here and I am praying very hard it warms up......
Thursday I had a great day with my kids. Liz and her boyfriend. In the morning we stopped for Starbucks....Then went to get bagels and some other stuff from the kosher bakery, Then we went to a Peruvian restaurant.....Then we took the train downtown to walk around and go to a outside concert and the Taste of Chicago..... It was so much fun doing an outing with my daughter.
So everyone have a great 3rd......and talk on.

You've been by yourself for three hours, so I figured I would join you.  I have been in and out, but not posted yet.

Our weekend is pretty much the Rangers, sleep, work, and redo my office.  Sometime this weekend I have to take apart my computer desk and move the new one in.  I want to get a new thin, flat screen monitor. I still have one of the old timers.  Guess I will check out Staples or Office Depot tomorrow.

I have to be honest and report here.  I did go to get Mary flowers the other morning.  I stopped at Walmart.  Normally our Walmart has some decent flowers.  Not the other day.  So, instead, I bought her a skirt and blouse.

A skirt and blouse is special. Tom learned that flowers are not a good choice in our home. The cats devour them within 5 minutes. If we could figure out how to hang them from the ceiling - maybe, just maybe, they would last. Perhaps we should hang the furmonsters from the ceiling instead? Just kidding.

Good Friday morning, ya'll, from hot NC.

While I was in TX for 6 weeks I lost more weight.  Well, it seems to have 'loosened' me up quite a bit.  Now I can eat just about anything, just about any time!!  Yikes, not real good.

Our daughter and 2 adorable kids are here from OR.  I have been cooking and baking and eating!!  But I have also been walking and swimming and shopping, so it about evens out.

We will be doing the usual HUGE neighborhood bar-b-q at our son's for the 4th.  My DH and I will come home well before the fireworks, of course.  We are early to bed kinda folks.  But we'll be there to eat!

Carla - did I miss the engagement announcement?

We are spending the 4th with the M&M's. I want to do the cooking but don't know what. The kids love spaghetti & meatballs - I don't do pasta because it sinks like lead. They don't appreciate any sort of barbecue so I want to make something quick and easy.

morning! i am up but haven't been downstairs yet--folks are moving down there tho..
carla was right about traffic coming up--it is well known how heavy traffic will be northbound on a holiday weekend so i expected it!
sadly; eileen decided not to join us- i guess she saw no humor at my joke about 2"  in the car for her-but i know that he knee wasbothering her..ah well-- we'll try to stop sunday to see her.

not sure what today will hold other than good company !!

well its still on the chilly side this morning here in willoughby ohio and they say the sun will come out....hopefully tomorrow!!!!! looking forward to getting together tomorrow with our friends for a BBQ and then the fireworks!!!

well i finally got the other woman trained for the food court...omg!!! talk about slow as a snail!!!! i told her i didn't want to get a stick of dynomite to get her moving so she best hurry up!!! she has a speed of slow and slower...sighs. i left her alone while i went on my lunch break...she did ok but what a mess she had!!! just don't schedule her or the other one to work with me!! they are both slow. oh well in time i am hoping they will kick it up a few notches and move faster!!! i also see they moved the vending machines into my food court!! took some tables away to make room for them there...looks ok but now seating is very limited. so maybe this means that the job that i applied for will finally be given to me i hope!! seeing as they told me yesterday that food court has to keep the machines clean and watch for expired dates on the food. hummm....

george a skirt and blouse sounds wonderful for a gift to mary!!! also prayers still being said on my end for your family!!

carla who all is supposed to show up at nan's this weekend?? wish i could have afforded to go!!! would have been a nice chance to show off upper michigan to rick. oh well someday i will get him up there!! he wants to see the big mac bridge and thats still further north...let everyone know i am there in spirit with you all.

gee margo i would have thought 2" was a little crowded myself...haha sorry to hear about michaels dilema...i would have stayed home with that aneurism he has...that could move and he could die from that ya know. just my opinion...

jani...congrats on getting an earlier date for your surgery!!!! you will do fine!!! hang on its a wild ride!!!!

to others that have a date, hit an anniversary or had a wow moment....CONGRATS!!! (this pc moves so dang slow i hate posting at times!!! but know i DO think of each and every one of you!!!)
