Good morning to you, sweet Linda. I hope that today is great for you and for everyone. Just a normal one for me...if there is such a thing as normal for me.

Yesterday ended up be a disaster. My neighbor upstairs who just moved in decided that his kitchen sink was where he was dumping his crap. I am not sure if he used his disposal or not but it came up in my sinks Friday. Well yesterday it clogged the darn thing up and I had to call maintenance since soapy water came up in both my sinks almost to the top of them. They worked on it for 3 hours and hit something hard...it broke the tip of their snake. Now they have to come tomorrow and cut a hole in my dining room and go in from there. I have dirty dishes all over the kitchen which is small to begin with and I can't use the kitchen sink at all. Or the dishwasher for that matter either. When it rains it pours....

Food was pretty good but could have been better. Everything was thrown off schedule with the mess of the kitchen. So today is going to be better...

B: sausage...which we know didn't agree with me to well
L: nothing since the sink was making a mess of my day
D: hamburger with bacon and cheddar in it with added cheese on the top, 2T of pasta salad and some corn on the cob done on the grill (and it is soooo very good too)
S: a small piece of chocolate pie (totally sugar free) that I made

The pie was made with sf pudding and sf cool whip. For some reason the cool whip kept melting..no matter what I did. I put it in the fridge and it melted all over my fridge. I put it in the freezer and it stopped melting but wouldn't freeze either. It was good froze..the pudding that is. It tasted like a pudding pop with cool whip. While we ate it the cool whip dripped off the pie. I have never had that happen before.

Better go. I am sending love and hugs to you along with prayers being said for you and yours. Thanks for being you....you are so special to me.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda! What an awful situation to be in!
I hope they find the problem and repair it soon.
Once again, you are right on with the food,it shows how hard you are trying.
Cool Whip,if you ever double dip it,meaning tasting and putting the same spoon in there a 2nd time,it will break down. I am not
saying you did this, but Olivia left the banana pudding over here, which has Cool Whip on it,so that one of the grands unintenionally did this.
I hope to is better for you...
Big Hug!

Heya...

I like the little dancing girl sillouette ... probably because she might be nekkid

I am looking into Weigh****chers... because I feel like I just need something structured or I wont succeed.

My wife is (finally!) back to work after her shoulder surgery... it will be nice actually having a little money pretty soon.

On the fourth I shot off some skyrockets and watched some of the neighbors fire their stuff into the air and thought about the years I spent in the military... a lot of years... and missed it. What I miss most is working men and women that had honor... can't find it in anyone nowadays, especially at the jobs I have had recently... but this new job is a little better, mostly because a lot of the men there are veterans... we work with Army weapons, so naturally they hire ex military with experience working on these weapons. Nice to be around these men again... they understand comaraderie, and covering your back, and have that great sense of humor and gentle calmness that comes from serving your country in very stressful times... basically, they don't sweat the small stuff. So... it just feels better going to work! ... it has been a long time for me.. and a lot of jobs that made me sick to my stomach having to work with the backstabbers and whiners and people with no honor at all...

OK... just wanted to get that off my chest... (can I say "chest" here?)

Have fun...

(and I didn't mention sex once!)

Dear Marc,of course you can say chest here, especially if your tit's in the wringer. We are adults!
I hope Weigh****chers works for you. I do know the things I learned in OA,many years ago, helped me to be prepared for the mental part of the WLS. I deal with my situation on 3 levels, mental, physical, and spritual. Some of our brothers and sisters get the surgery, then suffer so,as they have not dealed with the mental (emotional) part of this situation of what for me is a disease.
My son has decided to make the Navy his career,he has grown so much and I am proud of him.
Nice to see you around.

Today is my grandson's birthday, so the partying continues.

B: turkey bacon and egg

S: fruit cup

L: Chicken thigh and greenbeans

S: cheese

D: Quiet.  I just want a big bowl of quiet. LOL  but will settle for cottage cheese and fruit.

Wow. This weekend has been a whirlwind of constant running.  The retail therapy was great.  We have a big store, Dilliards, at the mall and they had short sets on sale so I bought the baby a couple and the boy a couple.  Then, oh yeah baby, the shoe store was having a huge sale and I really needed new shoes.  Yes I did.  By God, I stand by my mantra that a girl can never have too many shoes, too many bags, or enough lip gloss.

LOL! You have a great sense of humor! I know the grands will run your butt ragged!
I have told Olivia how the beloved grandkids can zap your energy!
I tell her that's why young people birth them!!
Happy to hear you got some new shoes,as you were almost down to your last pair!

Linda,

I'm still doing liquids.

This afternoon my husband is coming with me to visit my mom.  He absolutely hates hospitals and nursing homes because his dad spent so much time in places like that, so it was sweet of him to suggest doing this.  We're going to bring Mom a chocolate peanut butter milkshake (hubby's idea).

Jean, what an act of love, for your husband to do this. My dad was like this about hospitals and such. He hated to be sick,I was grateful God took him fast.
Liquids still...have the veggies helped burn the fat when you could eat them?? I know in addition to the health, and the fat burning,it aides in going potty...smile.
I hope the visit goes well!
