OT: Home from Nan's and some other stuff
and already feeling that day after Christmas syndrome!!! thank you Julia and Cheryl for pin pointing it!!!!
we had an absolutely awesome weekend and were just blown away by Nan's family-met 3 of her kids and how many grands??? i lost count but got goodbye hugs from many of the 7 darling girls who were there most of the weekend!her hubby Marc is a wonderful host and fun was had by all-even Chico and Ruby enjoyed themselves!!! Chico did not have a good trip home, however-we ended up cutting our drive home very short- were sposed to have gone to Eileen's and a cemetery in Cass Cty--didn't do either....and i had that pedal as close to the metal as i dared all the way home....it still took us 5 hours from Tustin to home.
since i had met Phyllis' and her hubby John at frankenmuth last fall ; it was good to pick up with them--meeting carla's carl was very interesting-he has much to talk about but the guys' fishing trip was a bust! i got to know our floyd's brenda better by spending more time in a smaller group ...nan is so sweet ---i really feel like she is my sisterfromanothemother!!!! and her home is so comfortable---we had 2 bonfires tho we limited the heights to which our two pyros were able to build...
not enough time to do everything --but overall a great time!
a few expressed some concern about Michael travelling with this newly found aneurysm ----it must not be that serious that the hospital sent him home and the vascular surgeon is not seeing him til the 20Th....our PCP gave him the OK to take the trip knowing the area we were going to ( he has been there himself) and the health care available there...and Michael feels like if it's going to burst and he is going to die he should at least be in the company of good friends...so ==we went.... not to sound callous--he just cannot sit and wait to die.
on a side note; my boss has posted 8 Caring bridge posts just today about his 11 year old daughter Alexa...hospice was called in and she is home waiting to cross the next big bridge..please say a prayer or send positive vibes or whatever you do --this family only asks for peace for their daughter-her 3 years of cancer has taken it's toll on them all.
i have no idea what will be in store at work this week.
well- my callie cat is meeeoooowwwwing ---i had better go see what is up with her---miss the heck outta my poopies --would love to have them home tonite but the car was just too full and we really wanted to get Chico home! i think Michael will pick them up tomorrow while i am at work.....
hugs

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
