No babes you are sweet, but I know I do get whiney...LOL.
I'm working on it though. The thing about being on medical certified leave with my job is that they do fill my position, but I am still employed, have to look at another position if there are none in my department but Wells Fargo/Wachovia is huge. The red tape no,but returning after doctor's release a *****they give me 90 days to find a position, and this is with out pay. The other part is after 2 years out I am automatically terminated. Two years is a long time,I am highly experienced and am looking at another company I like,no chance of them going under.
I just found this message or I would have replied.
Smile...I do not suffer from having to be perfect.
Hugs!

Hey Miss. Cheryl! Your menu looks great, and that toast sounds so yummy!
Wise strategy, eating the protein before the carbs. Do you think that idea will catch on?? LOL! I can tell if I am being dishonest with myself,it helps me to define hunger versus craving,if I  always do the protein first. Now,if I want to skip the protein and head for the carbs,I know it is time to pause and take heed. The alarm goes off!

I know you are less than thrilled to go back to work,it is almost cruel, and unusual punishment to allow us extra days off, then make us come back.
I do know there are some people at work who are joyous to see you, other than getting paid, this has to make you feel good.
Take care,baby girl!

Linda,

Yeesh!  16 vials of blood!  No wonder you had to lie down.

I saw the NP at my new surgeon's office yesterday.  I liked her - very smart, very dry.  She said my symptoms sound like a band slip, so she took every drop of fluid out of my band.  I have to get an upper GI x-ray (they couldn't do it there yesterday, so I will have it done locally) and let my stomach rest for 6 long weeks before they will start gradually re-filling my band.  None of that was good news, but I was so happy that the unfill instantly relieved my symptoms and that I finally have bariatric surgical care again.  I know of 2 OH bandsters who use this same surgeon and both like her.  When I go back in 6 weeks, I will see the surgeon.

So today I get to eat purees, and that's going to be a real treat after a week of pain when drinking liquids!
B: coffee protein shake
S: iced skinny latte
L: pureed salmon, pureed eggplant
S: yogurt
D: pureed crab, brocamole (broccoli & avocado)
S: SF pudding

Sue,

I'm only guessing because I haven't had an upper GI x-ray yet, but I think the culprit is my hiatal hernia.  I've had a small, sliding hiatal hernia for many years and my original surgeon told me it was "too small" to repair during my band surgery.  Now I think he should have made more of an effort to fix it.  In addition to all the other symptoms I've been having, the hernia has been bothering me a lot lately (it causes pain in my left upper abdomen and sometimes I can feel my innards getting strangled).  Untreated hiatal hernias are associated with a higher risk of band slippage, and there's nothing in my behavior (like binge eating or consistent overeating) that would cause a band slip.

Jean, you are the only person I have ever known who can present a pureed menu and still make it sound good!
I am glad they gave you some relief from your band. It effects me mentally when I can not eat well or go potty well.
I know you did not let it get to you in the way it used to,but I am sure the relief makes you happier.
It is wonderful to have a medical team that you feel comfortable with, especially after your last experience, although the doctor did well with you,I am sure it would leave a bitter taste in my  mouth.
Enjoy your food. I made the dinner for tonight and pudding for desert. Olivia is cooking next and she is going to make a jello desert, mixed with condensed milk for extra protein, instead of water.I will have to check the carb content of the milk to see how much I can have, and the protein value. I thought it would be pretty if she put it in the bundt cake pan.I may add thinly sliced s/f peaches and have her mix that juice from the peaches with the jello,if she lets me,getting in some good and necessary carbs! It is her time of the month, and I thread softly.
Take care,dear lady.

Duh,CV,I know I can be dense, but did you not include the bad choice food?? I do not see it!
You are so smart to stay busy, and channel what could be bad nerves,or bady energy into chores and exercise.
I was sitting here yesterday feeling jumpy, not knowing what to do with the physical unrest.
Then I started washing my Betty Boop statues, tea settings and such,it was then that I realized and thought:
"I'll be darn,that was energy"!!
Hang in there,toots!

Sorry for the confusion Linda.  I was talking about bad food from the previous day but listed the current days food plan.  Still sometimes tempted by the chips and pastries that seem to be ever present at the fire station.  Had a few chips and a bagel with cream cheese yesterday.    Have to quit sabotaging myself that way.

My mother was an avid Betty Boop fan too.  Poo Poo Pee Do, CVL
