Susan,

You are a rare gem, that's for sure. Big HugThe surgery and recovery isn;t all that bad. It will be a relief to get rid of the offending Henrietta before she goes into full ***** mode.

Lots of hugs & love headed your way.

Yes, yes it is wonderful to be so special. NOT.

Were any of your hernias ingunial?  It's in a strange place, actually, I tease that it looks like I'm growing a penis LOL  Fortunately, I don't have any pain, just this big lump. As if my belly wasn't lumpy enough.

Sigh

Hugs to ya

I had an umbilical one pre-rny; my surgeon saw post-rny and didn't recognize me. He asked, "Who did this to you?" I told him Dr. Foote. He said, "Jamie Foote? I trained him." Then I said I was thinking of having plastics to remove my panni (this was before I had knee replacement). He asked who was going to do the plastics; I had gone back to him to have him look at the hernia repair to see if maybe the mesh was bunched. Anyway, he said he trained her, too. I think Dr. Foster trained every surgeon in Grand Rapids.

It's interesting to me how many of us are still having to take Nexium and Protonix and such. Hmmmm, so much for thier statistics about rny getting rid of these problems, huh?

Thanks for the well wishes. Hope your foot is doing better.

I Googled ingunal hernias. Mine was not that type. I don't know the medical term but they were all just below the breast bone.

Hugs and kisses to you Susan (((())))  Hope you're feeling better soon.  I was hoping to be rid of my acid reflux in just 7 short days.... Doesn't sound too promising to me, with all you guys still having it.  I use prevacid for it and I too have aspirated it.  I ended up with pneumonia after that.
I went today for my pre-op weigh in and lost another two pounds.  Tonight is literally my last food supper for a while, so we're going to outback and I'm having a steak and caesar salad.  For the next six days I'll be eating only protein supplements and then one day of clear liquids only, then the knife!  Can't wait.  Then I won't have to vacuum either!  Although my vacuum is an Oreck and only weighs 8 pounds, they say no pushing or pulling for a while.  I'll still have to dust tho.
Hope everyone has a great day.
