Henrietta is leaving town
Hey, you have a hubby ... get him to vacuum. My cats, however, just won't vacuum ... they just shed.
Good luck to you, Jan, and don't think of it as a "last supper" or a last meal, or the last time you'll ever eat anything good again. You will eat wonderful meals again, just much smaller portions. And your life will be so much richer (or at least that's been my experience ... not in the monetary sense, I can only wish!) ... but in the fellowship of my friends here and in the richness of the life experience since I had my surgery.
I had to call the cleaning lady, though, because the cat hair is piling up and the vacuum is too heavy for my back and knees ... luckily, OT is coming next week from this grueling week.

I had a wonderful dinner. We went to a Lebanese place and we had stuffed grape leaves, chicken shwarma, hummus, salad, grilled veggies and wonderful wonderful bread with garlic sauce. I'm pretty full right now, but since I won't be eating for the next week, I'll savor it.
I know you're right about the eating part. I hope I'll be able to control myself after surgery. My cousin had it three years ago now and has gained back 30 pounds. I'm surprised at what she eats. I thought she would be more limited. I'm heading to GNC tomorrow to see if I can get some samples. A friend of mine has some choc protein powder that she wants to give me. I bought vanilla to make the chai protein tea so I've got that. Then it's off to Kroger for sf banana popsicles and sf jello and maybe some swanson chicken broth. I'm hoping that I won't have too much trouble with this next week, I'm sure I won't be hungry, but I think I'll really miss chewing. Maybe I'll try chewing ice!
Hubby vacuumed tonight and I didn't even ask him to. He tends to be a neat freak.
