Hurry up and wait
I absolutely hope that I don't want to try ice cream or a drink, but I do love DQ and a nice glass of Late Harvest Reisling. I am desperately hoping that my tastes will change. I love too many foods, that's been my problem.
Last night my girlfriend said she didn't think I needed WLS, that I really wasn't fat enough, in her opinion. I told her it's not so much about being fat as being healthy. I have almost all of the co-morbidities required for WLS and a borderline BMI. My son also said he doesn't like the idea of me having WLS, but if it's what I want, then he'll support me. Of course it isn't what I want, *****ally wants to go under the knife, but it's what I need and therefore I want it to get healthy. I don't think enough people understand our plight. Oh well.

Hello, dear one,
Oh, the troubles we've seen! I'm glad your surgeon is letting sleeping dogs lay, what's the point of doing anything about them right now. Once they find out what going on in the colon, then that might be the time to fix the lumpies.
I just came back from the upper GI with a small bowel follow through. The barium is, as always, a joy to drink. The Radiologist did the upper portion of the test and let me watch the barium go down to my pouch and into the small intestine. SO INTERESTING!!! Of course I couldn't wait to see my dear little pouchie....very small according to the Doc. Smallest he's ever seen, he said. Here I thought for sure after nearly three years it would have stretched out, but I guess not. Thank you Dr Gibbs!!!
The technician said to drink plenty of water because the solution usually constipates. Sure thing, I have to be different, it gave me the opposite problem. You might have gone to your support group meeting in jammies, but I won't be going tonight if I have to run to the potty every 10 minutes or so. The bathroom is too far away from our meeting room for a foot race!!!
How soon do you have the appointment with the GI doc?? Hope this gets figured out soon. I hate to hear you are in pain.
Hugs and kisses,
Lumpy II
