What we are eating and what's eating us,Thursday....

Lightswitch sometimes tickles the memory. From her threads,I remembered about going to buy groceries, when money was more scarce, when our babies were babies...smile.They still had good food!!
Also, she has made me remember how much I love music, and I revamped my music because of her and others sharing...smile. Without her talking about music and dancing,I would have forgotten that my dancing is an activity,to be considered exercise. I sometimes get a guilty tinge when people talk about walking miles, going to the gym...etc,that I can not do. Her threads are always thought provoking,we do not have to agree.
Most of us have so much to give. Disagreement does not have to be terminal,if you have true intelligence, manners, and class. Our country was not built on people agreeing.Respect is nice, and it is a given, unless you show yourself the fool.

I learn something here every day...how rad is that??
B- 1 scambled egg,2 slices of pepper cheese. L- Tuna casserole.
D-More tuna casserole with melted pepper jack cheese on it. S-Orange S- Yogurt (Carb Master high protein,no sugar).(They are 10 for 5 bucks)!
I hope your day is merry. Thank you for being here!

A good day for food today. Hopefully the scale will reflect it again.
B - Jr Breakfast Burrito from Sonic's
L - Chicken Terryaki
S - Quesodilla
Snack - 2 yogurts, small amount of cheese today. 1 dill pickle spear.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
I had someone that I maintained a email friendship with for awhile frankly,I did this because I felt sorry for this person, this person asked me,"what do you really eat?" I told her,I eat what I post,I should have taken the hint from this question..smile.Sometimes within our community we see,or read proclamations stating they don't why they aren't losing. If only I could be a fly on the wall. I know you encountered this, plus people trying to manage your intake...smile.
Bravo to you for being honest!
"If you don't want to get on scale,it's time to get on the scale"
I love dills but the salt content kicks my butt, hmmm wonder if the salt is getting to your body?? If you drop your weight fast,I am gonna blame it on the pickles.
Be happy,be safe,
You sound wonderful this morning! It made myself start smiling! You are right about where there is a will, there is a way. The Lord always makes sure we have what we need, even if it is just the basic stuff. My husband and I are having to make a lot of changes in our home financially. We have decided the things we consider "luxury" such as telephone service, satellite, internet, etc., is going to be cut to a cheaper and less service. Christmas account (for children and grandchildren) is going to be less for next Christmas. There will be other changes and I will miss it but, gotta do what you gotta do.
Yes, I would like to see your protein list : ) It is very helpful when I learn about what to use for protein. Take care and God bless you!
ALWAYS,
JOY
I too have cut household expense and am doing fine. I went down to basic expanded cable, which the shows I like are on anyway. I no longer pay for internet,as I have a lap top and "ride the waves".smile.I only hava a cell now,no land line. The phone service has a flat rate so there are no hidden charges. No doubt WLS has a hidden factor,I eat less!! LOL!
I also thank you for the personal support you have given me regarding some of my illness's (that's a funny word).
Your empathy and true concern has always been a comfort to me.
I will send the list to you later today.
Take care,dear friend.
I also thank you for all the support you have given me. You are a keeper of secrets, therefore,I feel free to share with you on a personal level. I ,never have concern that you will put my personal business out on the forum should we have a disagreement, this has happened to others in the past, because she thought she could trust a person here, who is so sadly, demented.
I hope your day is great!!
This has been a good food day. I got some pork down and that was that for supper. I did make some diabetic banana muffins, and I had one for my snack tonight.
I'm sorry someone had their trust betrayed. That always leaves lasting scars.
Hope you had a good day and get a good night's rest.

Hey Linda, you're correct about eating good doesn't mean eating rich. I am fortunate that my husband has a good job and even when he was in the middle of his chrones flare up, he did get almost all of his pay check and I have such a good fellowship from the university that we could live off of it. But, I still bargain hunt. I look for the meat that is on its last day and that doesn't mean it is bad, it just means that they cannot, because of state health codes, sell the meat when it has been out for a couple of days. They, on the last day, mark it down to more than half price and put on the lable use immediately or freeze. You better believe I will buy it and freeze it. I always buy in season produce and shop at the farmer's market. When there are abundance of fresh produce, I buy lots and freeze. So, we can still eat well. I remember last fall, bell peppers went on sale four for a dollar. I thought wow. So I bought about twenty or so of them and chopped some and froze and stuffed some and froze and when bell peppers went up to over a buck each, we were eating the ones I paid a quarter for. LOL
Okay, down to buisness:
B: toast with cheese
S: banana
L: beans. Yep, made more beans.
S: I'll be in the library so snack will wait
D: meat and cheese roll
You guys have a good and busy day and eat well and prosper

I too love beans, there are nations that were built on them. Beans are chock full of protein, and fiber, they also help prevent colon cancer. Also,I am soooo grateful to farmer's markets, what healthy bargains they always have on in season fruits and such.
I hope your day is chock full of goodness!
I vow,had the foods we now know been marked as protein and good for our bodies back in the day,I would have not gotten so big!
