Hello my boobala...smile. You reminded me of a country song I love,"Jesus, take the wheel". Indeed you can not have that empty filling keep going. It is not healthy, and what with having no appetite,it will make it more of a push to eat and drink.
When my appetite is really sluggish and it is not because The Fangster acting up,I try to tease it by making one of my favorite dishes. If there is something you enjoy and you have the ingredients, maybe the grands can help (in their own way),and it can be fun!
I am sending my angels, and fairies,to hold your hands, and tickle your toes.

Morning to you, sweet Linda. I have been busy this morning and I want to continue to do it...I just need to find that now and do more.

The complex is going to have rummage sales this month and I am wondering if I have enough to do one. I am not sure. I am going to do some hunting and see. It would be good if I did. That way I could get some money for stuff just sitting around. We shall see.

I have to go to the bank this morning..I screwed up the checking account something terrible and I hope that they can help me with it. I am having such a terrible time with memory and just doing some of the ordinary every day stuff. Sometimes I wonder if I am getting the same thing my Mom had. I just read a book on it and I know that some of the stuff fit but there was a lot that didn't. Maybe it just something more simple. I am NOT going to borrow trouble...I have enough of it on my own without borrowing it.

Food yesterday could have been better. I ate one meal and that was it. It had a lot of protein so that is good but it was a buffet and so the fixing of the food could have been better. But at least the protein was there. I have to find something positive out of it. ha ha

B: not one thing
L: not one thing
D: a bit of beef and pork and more chicken than anything
S: nothing

Today is another day and so it is going to be better. I know that because it is something that is going to happen. I will make sure of it.

Have a great Friday and know that I am sending love and hugs to you along with prayers for you and yours. Have a happy!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Brenda,is your belly wound doing better? I am sorry you chose not to eat more,or to not do a shake. I hope you will do better today for your own sake.
I guess the good part of this is to is that befoe WLS,you would have eaten much more at a buffet.
Some things of course are choices. Maybe you were upset about your check book. I notice that when I am upset I can not eat,a complete reversal from the pre-WLS Linda....smile.
I hope you are able to find things for your rummage sale.
Take care.

I had good plans yesterday, but for some reason good intentions didn't see me through the day. I did go to the gym, drank plenty of liquids, but got into a "grazing" thing late in the day. Will do better today!

The plan: Protein shake and supplements, oatmeal, snack: 1 cup fat free milk, Lunch: vegetable beef soup/ 1/3 cup chicken salad. Snack: yogurt Dinner: left over beef tips/ 1 TBSP rice, green beans.

It's 8am and I need to get to the gym. I'm enjoying getting back into that routine. Gonna get hot here today. We've had a refreshing last few days of low 80s but it's heating back up to the norm for July around here which is like the song goes "hot, hot, hot!"

Hi Karen, isn't awful when we make plans and life gets in the way. Around here we say nothing is written in stone. You don't have to be hard on yourself when things do not go perfectly, such is life.
We also find our selves changing menus, having flexibility with ourselves. This is a good thing if we are not rationalizing our selves into a unhealthy situation. The more we are honest with ourselves, the more we notice when we are going towards dangerous things.
I understand hot,I no longer living in humidity though. When I tell people where I live they say "well it's dry heat",I usually Say y (If the believe in heaven and hell and I know this),I say "Hell has dry heat and it seems almost no one wants to live there)".
Have the best of days Karen.

Feel good Friday indeed.  I need a rest.  It's affirming to hear that we all have struggles with our food plan.  PB/diet jelly has been one of my favorite snacks but gives me terrible flatulance.  The point is we keep getting back on when we fall off.   Yesterday was good for me except for the bagel and cream cheese.  Got my exercise in.  Maybe not enough liquids though.

B protein bar
s nectarine
L tuna/light mayo
s string cheese
D great homegrown vegies from Maya in a chicken stir fry
s SF/FF ice cream

Hugs, Linda

CV!! Either this is coincidence,or you have my place bugged! I just finished a bagel and cream cheese,Olivia bought it for me..
ain't no shame to my game...it was delish!
I believe sometimes we want something different, and if you can take that snake out and put it back without it being a binge, then why the hey not???
We have changed our bodies and habits, and we hopefully have moved away from our diet mentalities.
The veggies sound wonderful! I wouldn't mind some homegrown...errrr..veggies,er to help with my glaucoma..hehe.
It's all good,we do not want to not enjoy food, and our life.Hell's bell's,most of us have lived in a bubble most of our lives,we have suffered prejudices directly aimed at our size,we need not live in a bubble nor punish ourselves further.I am on maintenance and my menu has not changed much,my new life was not started with the hope I would lose weight, then go back into bad habits. Of course I may have_________________ ,(write in "bad food choice",but my norm is to eat healthy.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs back!

Linda,

I'm a lot less likely to put up with bad treatment nowadays.  I think it's partly due to a stronger ego and more self-confidence since losing weight, and partly due to my age.  I sometimes hear my mother's words coming out of my mouth: "I'm too old to put up with this crap!"

B: toast w/ cheese & egg
S1: iced skinny latte
S2: watermelon
L:  sausage & bean casserole, cucumber salad
S:  feta cheese, cherry tomatoes
D: Pork chop, Thai zucchini
S: frozen cherries

That silly piece of toast for breakfast is such a treat.  I had quite forgotten how much I like runny egg yolk on toast.  Simple pleasures, huh?  I might even go totally wild and EAT A SANDWICH while my band is unfilled!

I'm going to make plum jam and peach jam this afternoon to use up some of the harvest from our trees.  I already made Asian plum sauce and peach chutney.  A couple of times I've just baked the plums or peaches (pitted and split) with some Splenda brown sugar blend and spices.  I'm running out of ideas for how to use up all this fruit, though, so if anybody has any suggestions, let me know!

Jean
