Its Saturday July 11, Whats New Today
Good morning,
Well it is Saturday and I saw the thread hasnt been started so at 0530 I decided to get us started.
Today I am on my way back to Michigan to my High School reunion. It has been 35 years since I graduated. Man what happened to those years.
The evening at my daughters boyfriends house on Thursday went quite well. My sister in law behaved herself for the most part.....So that was good. jared hasnt asked our daughter to marry him yet.......Should be soon.
Sunday my time up north will end. We are going to start to drive back to the oven. Going down I-65 thru the deep south. I have never spent anytime in the south so we decided to explore a little bit on the way home.
So talk on folks. Ill check the board while Carl is driving.

Morning Carla -- sorry you have to leave us northern folks, but you've had a special time, I know....besides your kitties are going to wonder who the heck you are??
I had a good 9 hrs of sleep last nite - thanks to my "wonderful" pills.
The hip is feeling sore, but maybe that's just the feeling coming back
from the surgery.... The droopy foot is a "smidge" better.
I hear thunder in the distance and it's getting really dark -- we need rain desperately -- so hopefully we'll get a nice soaker shower.
Time to hit the bathroom for my lovely sink bath - can hardly wait to get these staples out so I can get into the shower again.
Have a good time at your reunion, Carla and Carl, and a safe journey home to Florida.

It is interesting here in the south ain't it? 
... being from So Cal one of the hardest things to adjust to was being in line at a store and having to wait for the clerk to finish talking to someone before they went back to taking care of the customers... I think it is legal to shoot clerks in So Cal if they talk instead of do their job 
... but here they chat on and on and the other customers in line just smile and wait or join in the conversation... so that is what I do now... usually... sometimes... maybe 
My wife finally was able to go back to work... her shoulder is coming along ok, so the doctor released her... the pain is pretty much gone now... this means several things to me: (1) Possible sex again
(2) She isn't here, so I have to clean up stuff... like the incredible mess HER new puppy makes (3) Nobody here, so I can spend as much time turning wood as I want, and ignore (2)
The wood I ordered 4 months ago finally arrived, so I will probably make some pens... it is Olive wood from Bethlehem... since those trees are protected in the Holy Land they can only collect and sell the branches that fall naturally... so it takes a long time to get some wood after you order it. Awesome wood... and smells wonderful when you turn it on the lathe...
Had a really tough week at work... so incredibly busy and had to do a 12 hour day on Thursday... so might just relax a bit today!

mark; the wood sounds wonderful!! i used to enjoy arts and crafts...now ...well--enjoy your turnings!!!! there is something wonderous about freshly cut wood of any sort!!!! in panama in some areas i could smell fresh cedar in the air...strong fragrance of cedar!!!!

Carla, I sure hope you have a wonderful time tonight at your reunion. My 30th was four years ago, just a week after my mom's passing. I just couldn't bring myself to go, as much as I wanted to. So...just six more years and I'll have another one come around!
Today, my DIL and I are going to Hot Springs to do a wedding party. She's an amazing make up artist and will do that while I do the bride and two mom's hair. We've never worked together, so it will be lots of fun. She told my son that she never knew what good parents were like until she met us. Made me get all misty!
Gary is going to the Northern part of the state to photograph a wedding and will stay over since it doesn't start until 7:00. So, after I get back from our wedding duties I'll put in a couple of movies and work on Saint Bella. Should end up being a nice relaxing day and evening, with a little chaos thrown into the middle...LOL

Oh, Susan, I am sorry. That is a huge loss in so short of time, well in any amount of time. Those anniversaries are tough.

Good Morning Carla & OFFr's,
Nice to be here visiting for a little bit, work has kept me from more than a cursory glance now and again and I miss my friends on here. I have been sooo jealous of all you people getting together and my friends who have been on vacation of late, as it will be a while before I can make any real vacation plans, but I am also very grateful to be employed and the fact is I have a busy social life now that I have a "normal" life situation and am not spending 5 hours of each workday commuting!
Today I plan on doing a little bit of cleaning as I have neglected that aspect of life, due to the beautiful weather we've been having here on the East coast the last few weeks, so I will run my vacuum to rid the house of the Dillinger fluff that is growing into tumble furballs, and my laundry is doing while I am on here, after all that my intention is to hang out at my friend's pool for the afternoon and just take it easy today.
Well Marc, happy that you are going to be able to accomplish (1), (2) and (3) on your list of priorities, most especially (1) (lol)!
Carla have a safe trip and everyone else, be well and know that I am thinking of you!

Laureen, So good to hear from you. Sounds like life and work are treating you well. I bet you really do feel like you work fewer hours with a so much shorter commute! How's our buddy Dillinger doing? Are you enjoying your new job and coworkers? Sure hope so. You deserve only the best that life has to offer. We all get some of the not so good sometimes but you were overdo for the good stuff!
