So, it's MONDAY, what's new with you?
George, our teams didn't do so well this weekend. The Sox won on Saturday night (barely) but then stunk it up on Sunday. Sorry Eddie's team got whupped too, but at least they had fun.
I made protein balls, turkey roll-ups and hamburgers yesterday so I was kinda busy trying to get some nutritious things to take to work with me this week. Since I don't really have a lunch like I usually do because I got to work at 1 p.m. (my usual routine is get up at 10, have my protein drink, coffee and water, then my main meal at 1 p.m., then take a wrap or a salad for dinner to work ... well, that's all blown out of the water because I'm training at 1). So what I've been doing instead is having an extra AchievOne during training, taking some turkey rollups with me to have during our break (quick, easy protein snacks), then having my main meal at 5 p.m. when we get out of training and before i start working. Then, if I get hungry again, I snack on protein balls. At least it's nutritious and include protein in everything. Unfortunately, I'm running out of Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones (they're on sale this week, but I can't shop until Thursday).
Other than that, I didn't do much yesterday. Laundry, watched baseball, read Time, some of Sports Illustrated, some of my book, hung out with the cats, rode on my bike a little. Very relaxing day. Only five more days of training ... this week we actually build practice pages, so we get to apply what we learned last week (if I can remember anything!)
My body is really hurting ... woke up at about 4 with pain shooting down from my right hip to the toes, so I need to get to the chiropractor before I go to work today to get adjusted. Plus, my right shoulder hurts, too. I'm due for a back injection at the end of the month; I can tell, too, that I need one.
It's a beautiful day here ... very pleasant temperature (70 degrees), nice breeze, pollen count is low.
Well, that's about all for me. Nothing very exciting. Just a typical day in my neighborhood. Hope yours is good, too.
I got my tattoo last night. Our nephew did a great job and it is much larger than what I had originally thought it was going to be. But I love it... It is different and I am sure that no one has one like it anywhere. David, Bill and I just tossed in ideas and then we just let them grow....wow what a great thing came from that. The top is a pink heart with My Loves in it..then it goes down and a rose vine goes down my arm..the in separate hearts are Bill...Victoria...Amanda...Jonathan...Shawn and Kayden. The guys are in red hearts and girls in pink ones. There are rose leaves and thorns complete with the brownish veins in them and on the thorns. It is just gorgeous...I am so glad that I got it done. David told me that it would cost at least $200 in a shop and I got it done for nothing. Great deal for me!!!!
Bill started the nicotine patch yesterday and has done good. He so far hasn't had the craving and is chewing a lot of gum...but it is sugar free so that is good. He decided that he had to stop smoking since he has been short of breath and lately has had some chest pain at work. I was unaware of the chest pain....as you can tell. I am hoping that he is successful this time. He tired to stop a few years ago and did stop for 3 months and then said that he needed the patches and against my better judgment he got the lowest dose of them. I told him that he was putting nicotine in his body again but he knew best (yeah right!) and sure enough he started smoking again. I just pray that he does it this time. I sure would appreciate your prayers and good thoughts for him....thanks!
I better go. I am sending love and big hugs to all along with prayers being said for everyone. Have a super day and please spread the happiness that you have all around you...so many others need it at this time!
Really super to have two men start the day.
My man is not so good to wake up to today. I spent the weekend trying to stay out of the way of a packing maniac! My DH has been packing anything that he decided didn't need to be on bookshelves, walls and closets. I wasn't too sure he wouldn't wrap me up in bubble-wrap if he got the chance. He's quite grumpy when I refuse to let him throw things away. Then when I offer to help, he grouches cuz I'm in the way. Believe me, if I could drive I'd be outta here. He seems to think it will be another 4 weeks before the doc lets me drive. Personally, I'm hoping for him to tell my DH that I can drive after Friday, when I get my staples out. Today I went to my manicurist and DH had to take me...a major inconvenience as it took an hour out of his busy packing schedule. Of course we came home and the tv had to be turned on so he could sit and watch Gunsmoke for an hour...a much more important use of time. So I'm trying to duck any grumbling and do whatever he says he needs me to do...and pray he stays outta my sewing room where I have loads of fabric and yarn...which I'll never use, or so he says. I got on my bike today and got this knee up and over the top 40 times...a major accomplishment known only to those who've had their knees operated on. Aiming for a soccer team membership by Saturday!

Saturday was my DS and DIL's 5th wedding anniversary so we took them out to the Greek Souvlaki Restaurant yesterday afternoon. AM we went to church and then did the coffee thing after. Dinner was great and I always enjoy being with them and my grandbaby. She was super good and loved dinner. They are expecting #2 in Sept. Don't know what gender cause it is shy of the camera at ultrasound!
Didn't get much sleep at DD was throwing up and some blood so spent most of the night at emerg. but all seems okay now. They gave her IV gravol and liquid and we came home at 5am.
Today so far I slept til 11 and then made lunch for the 3 of us and then we went to the gym and did aquafit. Feel much better now and will be heading off for a nap soon.
Hope all of you have a great week.

Totally sleep deprived at 6pm Pacific time. Storms, thunder, lightening, howling winds. . . then today it's nice. Anyway I was up and on the computer from 2-4pm, fell asleep about sunrise for a quick nap and have been on the go all day.
I know once I sit down it will be all over until I crawl to bed and repeat. I think tonight if the wind is howling I'll head downstairs where I can't hear it. Never have had downstairs before and I kind of forget about it. We finished it off just because we had an 8 ft crawlspace. . . It's kind of like a cocoon down there. Nice and cool too.
Finished a couple of little projects. We refinished a stool and then made a basketweave seat out of old belts. It really turned out neat. Bought a little shelf/coat rack at a thrift store. Repainted it and hung it downstairs so guests will have something to hang up a couple of hangers with clothes.
Planted a couple more plants. Mike is amazed that I keep finding places for them. Wind last night just about destroyed my poor little cucumber plants. And here I'm just waiting for enough to make those pickles!
I'm brain dead; I'll close. I know I make absolutely no sense. Tomorrow is dental appt to fix two old cavities and a bone density test. Was told no calcium supplements for 48 hours prior to appt. Don't remember doing that last time. But then that was 5 years ago; I can't remember last week. . .
