OT: a new rant about the neighbor!
so today; i called home at 3pm to tell michael i was staying at work til 430-long story-nevermind!-and he informed me that he has Brody outside on a run in the front yard as protection-seems that the neighbor (yes the same SOB) today called the water dept in our village and complained that michael "has been using an inordinate amount of water'--while making his patio...now- the village could care less- we are not under bans or alerts or anything and we always pay our bill on time- (of course i have been wondering about this months' bill!)
he continued to say "if you don't do something about it , I will"---now- um that sounds to me like a threat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so the water dept guy comes by to warn michael to watch out- the neighbor it seems wielded an axe at someone not long ago---
great!!!!
so we live where there are sheriffs--no police anymore here -not enough "business"! the water guy - wish i could remember his name--DID speak to a local sheriff who lives in the village and is already watching the neighborhood....but they cannot do anything til HE does something wrong-and then they can never find him!!!!!
so- i had two thoughts as i finished my work and drove home- 1) is fear and worry about what could happen with a crazy neighbor who has guns- my slightly handicapped hotheaded husband and wonderful loving but huge dog are within range and i'm picturing bloodbath or shooting spree
--2) maybe i should rush home and wash laundry, take an extra shower and wash the car!!!!! i know i am bad...
this guy does most of his damage after dark so that scares me more!!!!!!!!!
now-ya have to remember that the only thing we ever did to this guy is to buy this house!!!!

You have said that you are moving to Hawaii ... I don't understand how you can do that with animals.....Brodie.....birds, etc.. Please ,honey....slow down. You cannot come here with animals and expect to find a place to live!! It takes MONTHS
You are one of my favorite people in the world...but I don't think you are thinking straight! Please tell me how you plan to come to Hawaii with dogs, birds, etc!! I want you to be happy, but I think you are setting yourself up for failure. Rentals on the Big Island start at $1200 a month! And NO PETS!
If I didn't care...I would have just not posted. Margo...please tell me how you are going to do this without major money!

ah karen...the dogs and cat are NOT coming ..and it is mainly due to the vetting and the rental capability---.two birds-the macaws -will...

Margo, that guy is a major nutso! I am assuming that all is well this morning...I am getting on here late.
I think I would talk to someone about harassment...most likely be a lawyer. I know that the police have a record of all this crap that he is calling about. Or at least if they are worth the wind to blow them to h3ll they would. I think that I would see about filing harassment charges against the little sweetheart...then see what he does.
Keep us posted on this situation but whatever you choose to do....be careful! This man is dangerous!

I am gonna count my blessings, we have had the same neighbors on one side of us for over 30 years and we even share the same driveway and garage (our houses were built by brothers). The people that had lived on the other side of us until about 3 years ago were wonderful too. I always said it was like we had two sets of grandparents as neighbors.
I am so sorry you have neighbors like that. I told the one neighbor they could never move unless they took us with them.
