That's just it Brenda,no one who knew you would ever think of you as anything but loving. Our history as a country makes us who we are. There is no way to be raised here and not have prejudice,or at the very least,awareness. It is what we do with these influences that make us who we are.
Of course this is worldwide. The sadness of the Africans murdering other Africans of the same color sadly comes to mind,the senseless slaughter not perpetrated by the White Africans,but to each other.
I hope we all just continue to grow. I know when I am dealing with a elderly White person that their frame of reference is different,or perhaps it is a prejudice on my part to think that,however it does make me more tolerant of them,guess there is bad and good to everything.On and on it goes,with the basic problem being the human condition,it reminds me of that song,"There's a Hole in the Bucket."
People do change though,George Wallace comes to mind. All and all,I am an American,and damn proud of it.

Karen, I replied to this but it shows that I did but I can't see it here. I am not sure where the heck it went. Let me know if you got the reply...because I would hate to post it again and you have it...I am so tired and the typing is getting my fingers just as tired as I feel right now. I am long winded in case you didn't get that already...but then again I am not sure how anyone wouldn't have gotten that already after all this time! ha ha Let me know and I will do it again tomorrow.
