Linda,

I'm going to apply for yet another job today - working in our local Goodwill Store.  Probably pays minimum wage, but that's more than I'm earning right now!

B: protein shake experiment (skim milk, vanilla protein powder, oatmeal, and SF chai tea syrup)
S: iced skinny latte
L: chicken thigh, cucumbers
S: homemade chicken liver pate on 1/2 multi grain English muffin
D: beef rib, green beans & edamame with mushrooms
S: strawberries

I have been craving chicken liver pate (maybe I'm low on iron) so I made a lightened version of my favorite recipe.  The original recipe calls for something like 16 oz of chicken livers and 16 oz of butter!  A heart attack waiting to happen!  So I reduced the butter to 1 tablespoon and used 1 tablespoon of light sour cream to give it richness.

Jean, your menus always make me hungry!! I have peeping at some of your lap band posts. I really enjoy them.
I wish you luck with the job. I have been looking at my budget, and realize that since I sold my home and have no tax deductions,I can only get ahead by increasing my 401K deductions, otherwise it all goes to taxes.
I am thinking how I would like a job that is not so stressful, sales are hard now, equities and mortgages, with today's market...
I am sort of hoping I can find something else to do,we shall see. I would love working for the cable company in sales..smile
All the best Jean...

Awww Boo,I am so sorry for your pain. I have to take pain meds everyday, luckily some days less than others. It was over cast here today, with flash floods in some areas. I vow I feel even a little humidity more than I used to.
I hope you continue to feel better.
I gotta laugh girl...it's the best medicine. I am so happy I make you laugh.
I loves ya Boo,I loves ya! (Reminds me of Renee in Chicago)...when she is describing her husband's love making...LOL!

Good Morning Linda,

Well, the scale showed a loss this am, but I am still at the number I have been playing with for the past couple of months. Still have about 3 to go before I get past the ones I am aiming to get behind me...I let things go too far and now it has been tough getting back....Yesterday was good, I stayed pretty satisfied and ate what I planned. I had...
Pre B-coffee and Dakota toast
B-cottage cheese and blueberries
S-Atkins vanilla shake
L-ham and cheese roll, crackers and PN butter, cherries
S-yogurt, raspberries and kashi
D-pork roast and watermelon
S-tea and granola bar
We figured out why our raspberries and cherries have been so loaded. Our neighbors have honey bees. It is amazing the difference in our fruit trees and bushes. The only annoyance with the bees is when the neighbor "smokes" the bees so he can work with them. Now I 'm thinking it's worth it. I will have to tell them. I gave them a bunch of cherries already.

I don't know about weighing more or the same because of muscle. My clothes are still tight and I think I was eating too much and that was undoing any good the treadmill work was doing....I'll see at the end of this week if I have been on the right track.....

Take Care and I will see ya later!
Cheryl

Good Morning,

Much better day foodwise yesterday. I think I'll continue to report "after" rather than before. Made it to the gym: 4.5 miles total. Eliptical, treadmill, recumbent bike.

AM: Protein shake, supplements, 2 eggs/1/2 English muffin, Snack: 1 apricot, 1 hi fiber cookie Lunch: tuna salad/ 1/2 slice low carb bread Snack: glass milk Dinner: 1 cup hamburger casserole (cabbage, potatos, carrots, celery, onion, topped with ground beef and tomato soup) 2 cucumber slices

Probably didn't drink enough yesterday. All in all a much better day with food. Busy day today. 24 people coming for lunch tomorrow so need to do a bit of cleaning. It's a potluck. We're doing the dogs and burgers; everyone  who is coming is bringing something. A great group of retired teachers that we meet with once a month.

TOPS weighin today followed by the gym. Then home to get my house spiffy!

Oh my, it sure feels good to be drinking my own coffee from my own coffee mug.

Today:

B: egg, sausage and 1/2 toast

S: cheese

L: soup

S: yogurt

D: meat and cheese wraps.

And, today I will drink like there is no tomorrow.  Dehydration sucks.

Good morning to you, Sweet Linda! I sure am glad to see you. You have a tendency to lighten my day with your sunshine. Please never ever stop doing that!

Food yesterday was really pretty bad. I had such bad stomach pains that I couldn't stand up straight. I called the doctor and she told to stop the anti biotic immediately and she will call today to let me know what I am suppose to do. Of course I had taken the second pill of the day shortly before I talked to her. I am feeling much better today so I am hoping that things will be getting back to normal.

I ate a piece of buttered bread when I took the second pill so that there was something there to coat my stomach and then later on I fixed dinner for my sister when she was over to change the packing and such. I fixed chicken and couscous and ate some of that. Mostly chicken so I got some protein.

I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are going up for you and yours. Have a super day and know that you are much loved by many.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
