What we are eating and what's eating us,Thursday....
You do have to be cautious about sifting the wheat from the chaff on the LB forum. There are pre-ops and new post-ops there who are well-intentioned but not well-informed. I'm not a bariatric surgery or medical expert but neither am I getting a kickback from Inamed or Ethicon, and since I'm writing a book about the adjustable gastric band, I think I've done more than the average amount of research about it.
I posted this info on the main WLS forum today and got jumped on (interestingly, not by anyone who had RNY) big time. I should know better by now than to post over there!

Maybe your surgeon or one of his medical staff could do a question & answer session at a future meeting. They wouldn't necessarily have to be there the whole time.
I know a bandster who got to meet a rep from Inamed who was a wealth of information about the band. I believe he came to one of her support group meetings.

We are on the same journey,we are using different vehicles.
I peep in at the Lab band forum to get info.
My Sept daughter has been unsuccessful with the band.I am so sorry for her,she made this choice because she wants to have more kids and feels the RNY is unsafe because of absorption issues.
I gave her a lot of info on the RNY,and pointed out OH. She has spoken to some members ...
You rock!!
The main board as the OH "Waste management" area - thanks, I needed that laugh!
Maybe you could get some input about pregnancy after RNY on the OH pregnancy forum?

I have no idea what I am going to eat today. I am leaving around nine to head to the airport and once there, I will take the xanax that the doctor gave me so that I won't run up and down the aisles trying to get off the plane. LOL. I am making certain to have a bottle of water with me at all times. So, I'm thinking I will do some form of sandwiches today. We are having a bi meal at the conference hotel before the key note speaker speaks and we all know what conference food looks like, so I'm sure it's some kind of chicken.
Hope you all have a great day of eating well but right and moving and being good to yourselves and that is what I know we wls people have had problems doing in the past.
