Carla, I am envious of your travels too. We are planning a trip to upstate NY next month for my granddaughters 2nd birthday. I'm looking forward to that!
I spent my lunch hours holding babies! My niece had her twins yesterday. A boy and a girl. God bless her she was carrying around almost fifteen pounds of babies! The boy was 7lbs.,1 oz. and the girl was 7lbs.,14 oz. No wonder she couldn't walk towards the end. She needs a good rest, but now they are out, there is no chance of that. LOL.
Glad to see Margo checked in. I was worried about last night and that psycho neighbor.
I moved my painting to tonight. Hubby had other plans last night when I got home from work whi*****luded dinner out. I never turn down having to prepare for or clean up after a meal.
It is finally July in CT. It's 80 and humid.

Hello everyone
Not doing much around here. It is too hot to get out. It is also unusually dry. I guess that is good. Heat and high humidity is do draining. feels like las vegas or dallas not houston. will be spending the night on the boat in Kemah tomorrow then home late saturday, out to dinner with friends and after church on sunday will be going to the circus. In door activites are called for. would not be spending the night on the boat if it were not air conditioned. hope everyone has a great week end. sending healing thoughts to those who need them.

I'm really late getting on here today.....the morning was rushed as I had to get around to go to the DR. ......I saw both the P.A. AND the Surgeon.....the nurse removed the 15 staples in my incision, so now I can get into the shower -- hurrah! The good news is the nerve that was damaged seems to be somewhat better.....the bad news is he wanted me to stay home for another month from work -- we compromised on two weeks, provided the foot is working a lot better.
I am NOT allowed to drive for at least two more weeks. So here I am practically homebound for two more weeks -- I'll go crazy!
Connie - I found out I was supposed to be doing the exercises 2-3 times a day - would have been nice for someone to tell me that and it wasn't on the sheet they sent home with me. They also added a new exercise - standing up and swinging R leg out to the side and hold for 10 seconds -- sounds easy, right ---- WRONG! Do at least 10 per day.
I can take more of the neurontin (3 per day) for the nerve pain per
the surgeon today. I told him it puts me to sleep and he smiled and said "don't make any major decisions when you take it - get in your chair or lay down on the bed and you'll be fine".
We got home a little after 3 - my co-worked/friend took me and we did a little shopping at Gorton Foods before the dr. appt. It was fun to be out and about, but I am really tired now.

At least I can go outside with my four wheeled walker and walk around in my yard and even go down the street.....just not too far!
I am thankful I am doing as well as I am -- after all I'm 70 yrs old, not 50 like I feel like most of the time.......LOL

Between itching like mad from hives, and jamming clothes into boxes, I managed to go to lunch with my deaf Red Hats group yesterday. It was lovely. They gave me a going away gift card to buy red/purple sheets to match the Red Hat quilt I was working on...until my sewing machine et al got packed. Will have to get right to work on it when we land in a rental in Goodyear the 28th. Hope we settle quickly cuz I know I'll be weeks trying to find things in all these boxes. Oh well...the days go on and my packing things in boxes at least helps a bit. I'm not much for carrying anything as I'm still stuck to my walker. Get these staples out tomorrow morning! Yippee!! Hope all have/had a good day!
