What we are eating and what's eating us,Friday!

My dearest Jacki,I see your pain. I watched a show on TLC a little while ago,it was called,650 pound virgin, when the man that ended up helping him and who was to become his best friend had the answer,it went smoothly.
He had the virgin keep a diary, visual and recorded,he noted the times the virgin ate.
Instead of trying to change those times,he changed the food. Not eating before bed is fine, for some people. Then there are people who can not go to bed hungry,I am one of them. I have changed what I allow myself during those times.
Do you think you could work with just changing the food? If you can do this, you can be home free already...
You are going to conquer this, one way,or another.
I would be happy to help you compile a list,if you would like,
I will wait to hear from you. Believe me,we have all had hills to climb. Sometimes we feel ashamed to share what we are eating,it is a part of the disease, the fat is a symptom, for myself and a few of my friends, not for everyone of course.
I look forward to hearing from you. Please PM me. You have always been supportive of me,I would be happy to do the same for you.
Hugs,huge hugs!

Morning Linda,

On my way home last night, I stopped at the store to get some pumpkin seeds for my granola bars, and saw this chicken curry salad in the deli case. It had chicken, peanuts, apples, white raisins, herbs and some kind of mayo curry mixture. It was $10 a lb. I got just a dab, less that a 1/4 cup and had it for dinner. OMG! was it good. Not hot either. I got so full. I think the mayo part may not of been too good for me but it was mostly solid protein otherwise and I usually can't eat chicken so anyway just wanted to share ....

Pre-B Dakota toast and coffee
B-cottage cheese and blueberries
S- yogurt, kashi and raspberries
L-ham and cheese roll, crackers and PN butter, cherries
S-watermelon
D-chicken curry salad and cherries
S-granola bar and tea

Friday yay!
Cheryl

Grin,Jean, congrats on having a get out of jail free card with you afternoon snack. I posted George on this earlier,it is so wonderful when this happens.
I am thinking you found a low fat way of making the liver pate...if you did, please share, also the cherry fluff. I am sorry to bug you,but you are the food guru!    I am anemic, and would love to add liver to my menu.
I hope your day went great!

Linda,

The chicken liver pate is so good.  My original recipe for it calls for something like a pound of butter per pound of liver!  Here's a link to the lighter recipe: http://jeanslapbandjourney.blogspot.com/search?q=chicken+liv er+pate

And here's a link to the basic yogurt fluff recipe.  You can make it with any flavor you like - I was using up some cherry yogurt this time.

Good morning to you sweetie. I hope that your FRIDAY is good to you.

I go see the pcp this morning for a follow up to the antibiotic thing the other day. I am hoping that she orders a culture to be done to find out what is happening in there...and then I am talking to her about a Infectious Disease doctor. I think I might need one of those. I am suppose to see Dr. Stanish on Thursday..or I should say his PA since I haven't seen him in so many weeks my body would say "Who is this strange man?" if he came in the office to see me. ha ha

Food yesterday could have been better. I was getting nauseated when I ate so...we all know how it is to get sick to your stomach when you eat. The day before yesterday was very good with food. I actually ate much more protein than I have in a long time...so I must be getting better in the food department....smiles

B: nothing
L: turkey and cheese sandwich
D: fish and 1T mashed potatoes
S: a new kick....roasted garlic bagel chips...a bit more than a serving..they could become addictive so I have to watch those little things! big smile!

I better get going. I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are being said for you and yours. Have a super Friday..I thought it would never come myself but it is here!!!! Hip Hip Hooray!!!! I got my baby with me for 2 straight days! Speaking of my baby...he is on 5 of the patch and doing well. He told me last night from work that when he smells the other guys smoking he gets sick to his stomach and has to leave. Good thing! He is worried because all he is doing is eating. I told him to conquer one addiction at a time and the food comes later on. He said alright. I noticed last night when he got home from work that it looks like I am going to become a daddy though!!!! Big laughs on this one!!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda, your surgeon deserves much more than a barb, but I know that is a lot for you, because you are so nice. I will be waiting to hear how your visit went.
Isn't it wonderful that you know how Bill is feeling about his wait??
I love that you acknowledge food as a addiction, for some of us.
As you and I concurred the other day on the phone, you have to eat what feels good to your pouch, with the nausea right now. I think you said Saturday is the last day for the antibiotics.
Your body needs the fuel to recover and keep your energy up.
I like that you are cautious with the bagel chips,I can not have those around!   I polished off almost a whole box before,I gave them to the grands...LOL.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Hugs!
