The good life,I suspect many of us are being good to ourselves. Never have I seen this thread so active on the weekend! How wonderful is that?
Ruth (Moosie),shared some of her relationship with food in the past. She spoke what we all know, how food was our friend, when we were happy.sad,worried,mad....what ever.
Look at us now! We go out with friends, family, and do a lot of cooking, yet now the activity and the company is the focus, not that cursed dragon!
My appetite is very poor,I did have a piece of chicken, and a shake, I am going to have yogurt before I lay me down. I am getting up at 5:30 AM to go for the sleep test.
Notice I did not use the "M" word!! Ta ta !!
I am going to focus on having a more balanced day today!

My breakfast has changed.  I now have my omelet with a piece of breakfast sausage in it.

B - Omelet
L - Hoagy  (1 1/2 inches)
LII - Haogy (1 1/2 inches)
S - Chicken w/stuffing, corn, potatoes
SII - Chicken w/stuffing, corn, potatoes

Snacks - with all the food I ate today, who has time for snacks?

Can't wait for the normal work week to start so I can get back to normal.

Tonight I go to the ballgame, so I will have to watch my food.  Think I will bring a couple of quesodilla slices with me.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I can finally post on here about what I'm eating!
B- chai protein tea
S- popcicle
L- going to try scrambled egg
S- probably chai protein tea or protein shake
D- going to try cottage cheese

Curious how these are going to sit on my pouch.  I'm not anticipating any problems tho.
Nothing eating me today.  I'm happy, happy, happy.

It is what it is.

Morning Jani, so glad to see you able to post here!  Congrats on reaching the loser's bench, BTW.  Been MIA over the weekend so I haven't had a chance to send you good wishes.

Please be careful with the scrambled egg. We weren't able to have that until about 4 weeks out,  If you do try it, try not to over cook them or let them dry out.

Hugs!!!

Susan

I hate dry eggs, no worry about that.  I just checked my list again.  Scrambled eggs aren't on my list until this Friday so I'll just change up my lunch for something else, like cream of mushroom soup.  Sounds delish.

Be real careful with the eggs.  A LOT of "rnyers" can't tolerate eggs.  I was required to stay on liquids for 1 week, then pureed for one week and it was week 3 before I could even try "soft foods" like eggs.  I know everyone's doc is different, just be careful cuz it might not sit well.  Also if you don't have any, get some Papaya Enzyme.  They are chewable tablets (Walmart, vitamin section, $4/bottle) that taste great and aid in digestion.  If something gets stuck or doesn't sit well, chew 3 of them and it will help.

Annette, my dietician, also said I could dissolve adolph's meat tenderizer in an ounce of water and drink that down, or eat a few kibbles of crushed pineapple and that would help with the digestion.  Haven't felt any icky feelings yet.  Just a sort of, it's hard to explain, pressure sort of.  It's a weird sensation.
Thanks for the warning and suggestions.

I've heard the meat tenderizer one too but it sounds yucky.  I love the taste of the papaya and I always keep a bottle in my purse just in case.
