Good morning all.  Counting down the hours already.  Read a lot of posts.  Read more info the tvgrapevine.com about Big Brother 11.  I enjoy that show way too much.

The Rangers finally won a game.  Ian Kinsler homered in the first and twelfth innings.  Weird happenings at the Ballpark before the game.  It was raining on homeplate, and not a drop in the outfield.

From today's funnies:

Nothing stretches slacks like pigging out on snacks.

Hope everyone has a great day.  Tell us what you did this weekend and what your plans are for today.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

good morning george and all!
i continue to question why mondays were even invented????
my weekend was pretty much laid out on the boards already with one exception...
we had asked my kids if any of them would give our callie cat ( 15 years old) a home for her final years and yesterday, my granddaughter's mom and her boyfriend consented!!! so callie will have a peaceful end of life home...she is simply too old to put thru thr drama and trauma of the vetting and the move to hawaii...i just am blown away at the good fortune and blessings we have had in this respect-we knew there was no question that our beloved brody will go back to his "home" and his people bud, chris, has moved back so he and his (brody's) daughter nikki will sleep in chris' bed again; roxie will go vacation with a wonderful family for about a month before she flys to hawaii and callie has a warm comfy place to stay her final years.... it just all fit into place so well finally...and brought such relief to my heart and head!!!!

my DIL's kindercare opens today officially!!! whooooooo hooooooooo so she and the kids are off to their new place this morning!! my son is strutting like a pea**** on this one!!!so very very proud of her accomplishments!

our for sale sign and brochures went out last nite so it is official!!! we'll be listed on realtor.com later today or tomorrow and we are on forsalebyowner.com so- we are rolling!! now just bring on some ppl!!!! (ok--i'm dreaming and hoping and praying but c'mon--gimme two minutes of fun!!!)

we had a beautiful weekend weather wise - 60's and 70's and a slight breeze...

spent some quality phone time with two very special friends yesterday...my blessings continue to grow!
made plans with michael's brother and sisterinlaw to go to wisconsin for labor day weekend- a "goodbye" trip to see them as well as his sister and her hubby and his brother's widow and his grade school friend virgie before our move...will be fun but sad....

michael put some finishing touches on the patio he built and has the outside pretty much done- so we need to focus on the inside-cleaning and packing..i know that's all i keep saying- two packrats have so much stuff!!!!

today back to the grind....and a few errands after work...
alexa is hanging on but got sick last nite and her dad, my boss, has some malady going on...the strength that family has shown thru all of this...like connie's family with  their nic...it just humbles me...

well- almost time to get gorgeous for work and as brenda says it takes awhile!!!

hugs and prayers...............

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Well Margo looks like the move was meant to be since everything is going so good. I hope you can sell your house a quickly as the other things fell in place! I wish you the best on that!
George I am glad the Rangers won! I don't follow baseball any more. I am a big basketball fan! Living in Indiana you really have to be! Go PURDUE!
Well got to go to a funeral today. Did anyone ever notice that the word FUN is in funeral? What sick-o did that? It is the farthest from fun there is. It is this afternoon so I am going early to visit 2 friends that are in the nursing home. It is too bad they aren't in the same one. The first stop will be to see my best friends mother. She is 89 I think. I always feel so bad when I go until I see her big grin as I walk through the door. I wish I lived back up there so I could see her more. I was planning on going to see her next week and bake her a cake. She gave me this wonderful recipe for a cake from scratch that you use this special vanilla for which she also always gave me. I ran out and went to her home which her son lives in to get some. Well he said her daughter in law(the other son's wife) took it all after Mom went in the nursing home. It so happened that day that the other son was at the nursing home and I asked him if he could bring me a bottle so I could make her a cake to bring out to her. I thought she could share it with the workers that take care of her or the other residents. SO I got this call yesterday afternoon about another woman dying in town so I thought I would make that cake to take. Well my knee hurt me so bad that I didn't think I could stand up that much so I didn't make it. SO next time I go I have to make her that cake.
Well that was way to long but now you know the rest of the story. Paul Harvey would be proud huh? Now off of here and into the shower and on my way to my hometown. Only a couple of hours from here. You all take care and have a GREAT MONDAY IF POSSIBLE!Michelle

We went to the Renaissance Festival in Sterling, NY. That was fun.

In an hour I go for the small bowel X-ray. No water allowed after midnight and I am so thristy. The coffee smells heavenly this morning. Too bad, it will have to wait.

Happy Monday morning all:
I'm off to Wal Mart this morning with a long list of "stuff" to get.
A friend is driving me there using my van cause it's much easier for
me to get in and out of.....I will use the electric cart once we get in
the store.

Had a really nice Sunday - went to early church and was greeted by so many people who were glad to see me there.

DS and DIL stopped by around lunch time.  I had made a big recipe of chicken chop suey and some rice, so DS ate two platefuls but *****esn't like chinese so she would eat.  Tried to fix her a turkey sandwich and numerous other things, but she declined.  Made me
feel bad.

Shortly after the kids left, my sister from LaGrange and niece and her family from Texas came.  They have two girls 5 and 2 and are just expecting a third (hoping for a boy this time).   They only come up once a year so it was really good to see them.   She calls me her "very favorite aunt".  They stayed for about 2 hrs.....

Tried to take a little nap, but never did go to sleep.   Took tylenol PM
at bedtime and it worked!!!    Slept until 3:30 then my foot was really hurting badly, so took a pain pill and went right back to sleep.

I was bummed that Tom Watson didn't win the British Open after he
led the whole way.....

That's it for me, have a great day.  Best Wishes to all !

Being sprung from the hospital was the highlight of my weekend.
Hubby, Gary, had to leave the hospital on Friday to come home, the realtor called and wanted to show the house.  We got the feedback that these people decided, after looking at several houses on Friday, that they definately want a ranch, so they're not interested in our colonial.  We're showing it again tonight, so there's still a chance of a buyer out there.  I'd like to get it sold within the next couple of weeks because the two colonials across the street from us are going into foreclosure.  Damn, we can't catch a break!
Still having trouble getting those crappy crushed pills down.  When I got up this morning that was the first thing I thought about.  The yogurt worked pretty well last night but I'm going to try applesauce this morning.
Hope everyone has a vundervall day.  :)

Good Morning everyone.........

George, thanks for sharing he morning funny........I'll be sharing that with my BFF.

Margo, so glad things with your 4 legged babies are all taken care of.  I'm sure that's been difficult but now you can rest they will all be fine.

Annette, hope the test goes well today.

For me today.........
WAHOOOO no more restrictions I can go back to exercise (never would have thought I'd be excited that!!), I can go in the pool and I can take a bath!!!!!
I woke up early this morning to hop on the bike (I ride outside).........mother nature had other plans, it's been thundering/lightening since 6am and raining on and off.  I'll shoot for a night ride....if it's not stormy.

I spent a couple hours at the beach house yesterday........IT'S NICE!!

I think I'll tackle a few of the remaining boxes that are piled up in the dinning room so at least the entire front of the house will be neat and organized.  Now if I can just get Matthew to work on the pile of papers he is collecting in the living room I'd be very happy.

My main focus today is to just relax.......I've got a pretty good handle on the weight thing (although it will always be something I must work on daily), so I'm trying to focus on de-stressing myself.

Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!

I am home.  Yeah.  I got home yesterday evening and hubby and Kitty were both looking out of the door when I pulled up.  He was asking me a million questions, she was running around my feet mewoing and I was just happy to be home.  In Minnesota, the weather was in the 60s during the day, and, of course, it wasn't in the 60s here. LOL.

I am only going in to teach today.  I just don't feel like sitting in my office for two hours.  I really don't have a lot of stuff to do around here but I do have notes to compose over the conference happenings.  This evening, I will ride my bike.  Hopefully, I haven't forgotten how.

Hope your day goes well.

i woke up this morning with the little finger on my left hand just throbbing , when i got into the light it was swollen bigger than my thumb and i cant bend it...darn it hurts , dont know what it is but i dont like it.  i have osteoarthritis everywhere but this really hurts worse than any of my other joints have ever hurt. it feels like it is broken...
we really had a great week end. a grandaughter and her hubby and baby came up to see us over the week end...oh he is just precious...will be 3 in Feburary, she is wanting another baby but her husband that she is married to at the present doesnt have enough viable sperm to produce a baby, so they are going to have artificial insemination done....really a long drawn out process they have to go thru....
i am getting my garden ready to plant  my fall garden already....my green veggies are mostly all done...going to get my winter squashes planted. Spag, acorn and butternut. and will plant ,turnips, and spinach and going to plant another row of beets  too. my tomatoes are going to town now. i got 22 ripe ones off the vines yesterday...but gave about 10 to granddaughter and then another grandson came down so i gave him some tomatoes and fresh veggies to take home with him too.
My grandson i am really worried about  he is only 21 and is having lots of chest pain with heart palpatitions, and has high blood pressure,  he is 6 foot 7 and thin as a rail....he doesnt look good at all, he is pale and just looks really tired....his doctor is suppose to be getting him an appoint with a cardioligist but is sure being slow about it in my opionion....his pulse rate is extreemly high too...i tried counting it yesterday and the best i could get was 124 ...all of it just really worries me....
well guess i better get busy, have to make a few phone calls, going to call the plastic surgeon in Springfield and schedule an appointment to have my skin removed on my floppy belly....it has just gotten to the point im sick and tired of having to poke it down into my shorts and pants.
talk to you all later....
