Tuesday, What's new????

Hey gang!

It's always fun when I get to start the thread!  Old Dog aka Sherlock, had me up at 3:42...Yikes!
Gary's gotten up with him 3 out of 4 mornings, so it's the least I can do. Besides, after my surgery on Thursday I'll have a good excuse to stay in bed....LOL

My day won't end at wor****il about 7:00, so it's going to be a loooong one. It's okay, I love what I do and I'll just have to throw in an extra latte, you know how I'll hate to do that!

I haven't been to sleep all night.  I laid in bed for almost two hours but my eyes wouldn't stay closed so I got up, folded laundry, played on the computer and watched tv.  Today I'm planning on cleaning my three chandeliers and the doorwall, tracks and all.  Maybe tonight I'll be able to sleep.  I hope I don't crash this afternoon so I can sleep tonight.  I'm eating a carbmaster vanilla yogurt right now as my breakfast, then I'll move on to chai protein tea.

Morning Jan,

I'm glad you have so much energy, but PLEASE don't over do it!  You're not even a week post op, I'm afraid you might pull something cleaning chandeliers and doors!

Take care of yourself, those things will still be there after you've had some time to heal.

Don't mean to be a buttinsky, just concerned.

Buttinsky's are very important people in my life.  I didn't even think about only being five days out.  Maybe I'll just sit on the floor and clean the doorwall track with a screwdriver and then vacuum it.  Will that be ok???

Like a hand held vacuum, just to clean the tracks?  Regular vacuuming requires stomach muscles to push that big ol' thing, so I sure wouldn't try that. My doc says I can't do it before my hernia surgery Thursday, or for two weeks after. Shucks!

When you feel so good it's hard to stay down. But....you have to consider the work that went on inside of you that still needs time to heal properly. Be good to yourself. Starting now! Dust and dirt has a funny habit of coming back anyway. It will be waiting for you

OK Susan, I'm fessing up.  I got two of the chandeleirs done and the doorwall. (I used a hand held vacuum with a hose)  The other chandelier I need to get on a ladder and won't do that without someone here.  In fact I'll make Gary do it when he gets home from work.  Oh he's going to love that....   I'm truly a lazy person, so when I get the bug to do something I have to do it or it won't get done.  I know you're right.  I won't do anything more.  I promise, at least until I'm one week out

I KNEW I'd get it out of ya! 

We all know our limitations, and (fessing up on my own) I'd probably be doing the same thing. Actually, my surgeon said I couldn't drive until 6 days post op. When a car emergency came up on day 5 I HAD to drive in order for my son to get to work. So I did. I was just careful and everything was fine.

Oh....one week out, she says?  HA

Make sure you are getting your walking in.  and sip, sip, sip.

Walking and sipping.  I take the old dog for a walk because she doesn't pull hard on the leash and she can't go as far either, so a short walk suits her just fine.  I posted pics of my dogs on my blog.

Good morning Susan et al. 

Gonna be a short day for me today.  Have to get up at noon or so to take my nephew to eat before he goes to the airport.  Going to Joe's, my favorite Italian eatery.

Then, gotta get Mary home, him to the airport, and me to work.  Gonna be busy, but we'll do fine.
