I didn't see all of Oprah's show--I haven't been watching her because she is against WLS but I did watch yesterday because of Star Jones being on there.  While I was never a big fan of Star's, I do respect her decision not to tell everyone because the scrutiny is incredible and you can't blame her for not wanting to deal with that.  But on the flip side--telling everyone it was portion control and Pilattes--the tool helped her do those things in order to lose weight.  I myself didn't tell anyone but my husband and daughter and now son in law, my closest co-workers (so they knew why I was leaving early for dr appts a lot), my sisters and brother and my parents.  I wasn't sure about telling the inlaws so my husband took care of that for me.

WLS doesn't do it alone as we have all discovered.

Star Jones looks great though--it sounds like she is going through the same battles as we all are.  Oprah is still fighting the fight though.  I still remember the show where she had the wagon of 67 pounds of fat.

Hi Sylvia,I will be surprised if Oprah does not have some sort of weight surgery done.
She said something about a disease causing her weight gain...umhum,or perhaps.
Star said she did not say her weight loss was through the exercise, that a tabloid started it,who knows?? LOL.
You are so right about everyone watching you though. I love people telling me I am too skinny now.....right,errr thanks,ya know?
