How do you spell relief?

At one of the lowest and hardest points in my life (7 years ago) I "gave it God" and must say it did work....I felt an immediate sense of relief.  Lately I have not been very in touch with my spiritual side so I kind of feel like a hypocrite turning to God again when I need help but not on a daily basis....probably sounds silly after all he is God and he is very forgiving......but I guess it's just my own shame.

Anyhow, thanks for the great reminder.

I've never learned how to really meditate.....I sit and ponder but don't meditate.

i know this may not be within everyones  budget, but i try to go for
a massage once a month, and a facial every other month

i find that wonderfully relaxing.

all the other suggestions are good too.  you need to find the one that
works for you

be safe and well, hugs, jacki

I was just looking in the local phone book for a massage place and I remembered my new GYN's office actually does massages in one of the suites.  I'll call tomorrow to find out the cost....  my only hang up with doing the massage thing is I have SO MUCH saggy/baggy skin right now.....I've been waiting till I have my plastics but sure could go for a pedicure.
Thanks for the note

I've become very good at reducing or eliminating stress in my life in the past several years.  It took me years to reach this state.  I don't have any magic answers.  When things go wrong and stress is generated, I guess there's a certain peace which comes from years of previous (bad) experience that says, "everything will work out - don't worry..."

I don't really do stress relief.  For relaxation, I like a cool drink on a hot day; a warm drink on a cool day; a good TV program or movie at home and the company of my friends and family and cats.. . . .a walk on the beach, a drive through the countryside, a sunset or sunrise. . . . . . . . .

Good idea to remember that things work out and besides worrying doesn't change anything....just makes it worse.

FYI - I love seeing you post on this forum!!
