Thursday - what's happening with you?
Good morning all. A pretty easy night for me, looking forward to this last 75 minutes to go by quickly.
I know I am moving a desk when I get home, before going to bed. That should be all though.
I am having a good time providing a daily laugh. Got one from the B.C. comic strip.
Mother ant (to son): Son, from now on you are going to eat 3 servings of fruits, grains and veggies a day.
Son: What about fats?
Mother: Your father is on his own.

Good Morning Margaret, Julia, Cheryl, George & you other OFFr's,
It's always nice to see someone "new" start the post, though you've been on here a while (lol), I remember you when you first started posting, so you are finally getting near to your surgery date, that's good and I'm sure you will be well prepared for this journey and can't wait to share in all the WOW moments that lie ahead for you!
My summer has been full and the last few seem to just fly by because of all the many blessings of family and friends I have. Yesterday I got a call from one of my cousins, from a branch of my family that, while they live close by now that I live down in SWNJ, I have not seen much of them; though through Facebook, we've all sort of reconnected, anyway, she invited me to her dad's 80th b-day party on Saturday and I am thrilled to have gotten the invitation, because I will get to see my cousin's and their children, I have lots of fond memories of growing up with some of them, when they still lived up in the Queens section of New York, over 30some years ago. . . actually, the oldest of the 7, who I had lots of good times with, died 4 years ago of colon cancer, very sad when someone dies so young. . . anyway, I am glad that it worked out I had not plans for Saturday, as cousin Linda, felt badly at how last minute her invite was and I am going to be a surprise guest (lol), it will be a real surprise, because last time any of them saw me, I was at least 230 lbs.
Well on to the business of this day, which is work and tonight is my AA home group meeting, oh and I finally got my butt in the gym yesterday for the cardio portion of my workout, spent 35 minutes on the elliptical, it's a start back to doing what I need to.
One last thing I want to share, my daughter, Angela, called last night to tell me her pinning ceremony is on December 17, I am so proud of her, she will be a great nurse!
Have a great day everyone!
Laureen

good morning everyone!
margaret-a wonderful treat for you to be our starte dthis morning!! i miss your photo--what happened??? enjoy what is left of your summer...once the gears get grinding for your surgery time will fly!!!!
we are finally getting some much needed rain...slight drizzly type yesterday and steady light downpour at 3 am when roxiethewonderdog had to potty! i was drinking decaf way too late last nite-dunno what her excuse was!!!!
we had a big cuddle fest on our bed last nite-michael had ruby (macaw) in there and the dogs and i joined them-we all napped for a bit-was nice!!!also the cat joined in-didn't care that the dogs were right there!! brody has been clinging very close lately- i think he senses something is up!!! i will miss him so ;however, it will be better for him to be back "home". these furbabies give new meaning to the term family bed!!!!
michael's urologist appt went relatively well- he has to have an IVP(and the dreaded bowel prep for that!) to check his tubes- what are they-the ureters? something like that - and then a week later he has a cystoscopy scheduled to scope his bladder--ugh! done with a local and at our local hospital so--doc has to rule out any tumors..checked his prostate and it's in good shape-
today it's roxie's turn- she will get microchipped and get her blood drawn for the OIE-FAVN test (to check for rabies the blood goes to kansas to some lab) for her 120 day quarantine here before her move to hawaii! in a week or two she'll go back for a rabies shot-she has to have one before she can go but not within 90 days of arrival--it is all so confusing!!!!
i need to gather records from all of our doctors before we go too--how far back do i need to go? i mean- does our current pcp have our records from previous or do i need to contact the previous two for everything as well- we have requested records be fwd to current but how complete are they i guess i mean????? i can probly fill a whole suitcase with michael's records!!! maybe i can get my boss to allow us to scan them in and make a cd !!! or two or ten!
well i guess i'm rambling....

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
