Missed your main issues, but have you tried whey protein in water? No sugar, cheap to use.

Are you trying to gain wt? If so, make it with milk.

If you are trying to stabilize your wt, even whey + water helps because it STOPS the muscle wasting within a few days, if you are getting enough of it. You want to stop that and/or add muscle, but I'm guessing you don't want to add fatty tissue. The high sugar drinks like the cans at a drug store or CIB all have lots of sugar, way low protein.

Did you need vites, too? or just protein? or to stop the wt loss?

The dietician that I am seeing wants me to gain 20 pounds and to do this, she has upped my calorie intake.  I'm supposed to eat between 1800 and 2000 calories and drink boost enrich but the boost makes me dump.  I think she forgot that I dump or she wouldn't have suggested the boost.  I didn't think about the sugar and drank half of one and dumped worse than I ever have.  I lost way below goal because of an ulcer that went unchecked for a long time.  I just thought that my stomach hurt because I was eating, so I quit eating and really had a bad few months.  Now, I want to have plastics and they want me built up before they will clear me medically.  My wls surgeon says that in order for me to have the skin removed, I need to be above 130 pounds; my medical doctor says he would clear me if I get up to 125.  I just go so sickly after the ulcer and really need to get back to a more healthy weight.  So, that's why the calorie enrichment.

Where are your iron, vit D and zinc levels? All are part of the healing process. And you can take as much as 4000 MG of vit C per day to ready your body for healing.

In these parts, they have us "protein load" before plastics. So, we do whey + water, and I liked how I felt on mt load (180g) so I still do that much or more.

But my criteria is appx 30g protein, less than 3g sugar and mixable in less than 8 oz water.

Same stuff stabilizes wt, as well.

I don't really know.  When they do my labs, the pcp talks to the dietician and she talks to the surgeon and they tell me what I need or don't need to do.  I am, though, on my next round of labs getting the results in my hand.

I still take the vitamins, calcium, and iron that the doctor put me on last year.  He hasn't added or taken away any.  Some days, I don't take the iron because it really makes me sick.  But the calcium and vitamins which are complete care and I take two a day.  The vitamin C, I take two of those a day and they are 500s I think.

Get copies of the labs. You need them for life anyway. Besides, you'll be getting a copy of your op reports.

Which irons have you tried? They're not all the same.

So, no adjustment on vites? That means they're not testing vites. Everyone needs a tweak. Calc & multi are complete? Complete for whom and TO whom? No way that 2 calc a day are enough. NO way.

Boost makes a high protein low sugar product as well.  It is what my doctor gave me after I left the recovery room right after my WLS.  I think it is in the stores with the diabetic products.  You might try that.  should have all the nutrients without the sugar.
