Nettie, you would have loved my cat, as he was a black cat, that I named Streak, because of his propensity to streak down the hallway when I came home or got up from bed in the mornings, anyway, almost daily I would have a present waiting by my chair, one day there was two, I would wake up my b/f and say, uh, Streak's been mousing again. . .  I can deal with the live variety, it's the dead things I can't cotton. . .  my landlady borrowed Streak as she had 3 dogs and one cat, all afraid of mice, though how we had any, I'll never know because I really thought the neighborhood was demoused via my one cat. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Two presents - how thoughtful. Streak must have loved you VERY much. Darned cats have no sense of propriety when it comes to gifts.

If it doesn't have a bow on it, it's not a gift....IMHO   LOL

Present  okay - you are right. Just creepy rodents from the cat. Cat And Mouse TailI really prefer a gift of diamonds and don't care if there is a bow attached or not.

My cat that I had for almost twenty years would catch anything and yes bring it to me as a gift.  She would even face down an armidillo.  But, this one, well, let's just say she is a big coward.  My old cat, when we were travelling through Dallas back in the late eighties and were hit by that huge truck, she was in the car with us and the people at the hospital where they took us were amazed that she didn't try to run away.  She sat on the foot of my bed and the kids were in there too while we waited on my sister to come get us.  Our car was totalled. When I moved from California to Arkansas and would stop at the rest stops for the kids and the dog to go pee, she would get out too and do her job and was the first one in the car.  Never worried about her running off.  Now, this little thing would go wild and head for the street so she isn't allowed out.  Cats are so unique and have such personalities.

My doxie, Moose, was a mouser. He would see one, bite it and swallow. Yuck! I had to make sure he wasn't near mice...he also killed a big snake when we were camping once. He was a smart guy too. We  miss him alot. We had to have him put to sleep summer of 05 as he had cancer and was suffering so. My other doxie, Newt is a BIG BABY...scared of everything. Our new dog, Bridget is a bee, fly, bird chaser. Hasn't caught a bird but bees...look out!
My doc told me that when you have a spider bite you usually have two bites...I don't know if that's true but if a Doc says so...it MUST be true!

Yes.  Please bring them down and let them teach my kitty, who, by the way, thinks she is human, how to catch mice.  She is such a coward and runs.  She will stand guard and stare at the refrigerator until she actually hears the mouse and then she runs and leaps into my arm.  Same with the birds.  I let her play on our screened in back porch and she sees the birds and meows so pitiful and if they get close to the porch, she comes running with this tattletell meow.  And the squirrels terrorize her.  LOL.  Yes, my cat is a puss.

she sounds precious!!! and the other one- wow- what a treasure she must have been!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
