Good morning everyone.
Its a pretty Michigan day here   yesterday was so rainy and soggy  but we did need the rain.
My new carpet looks so nice!   Now I just need to get the house recomburated.    Hubby is working 12 hrs  and sure doesn't feel like moving furniture  and this weekend   he wants to attend the train festival that's here in town  so maybe Sat night or Monday night.
Hope everything is going well for everyone!

My go****'s only 8 a.m. here and we're already on page 2 of posts.....

I had a good nite's sleep and was awake at 5:45 (my normal time), so I got up, showered, did exercises, made bed, and here I am sipping my decaf green tea.   It's cool here this morning, but supposed to get into low 80's by afternoon.   I keep the house open as long as I can before turning on the a/c.

Had a lovely lunch with my supervisor and co-worker yesterday.....they brought burgers from a new drive-in and they were really good....took most of the bun off mine.   They said everyone sent hello's to me and they miss me --- ah, so sweet.  They said they will try to come next week too.    I told them I would be back to work on 8/3 if I have to have someone bring me...

The foot is about the same ......so very slow in healing that sciatic nerve, but I seem to be able to walk better.   Didn't get on the bike yesterday (actually I forgot), so that is on the agenda for today.....just for a few minutes to start.   Have a hair cut appt this afternoon and a guy from my support group is taking me  (sorry, he's way to young for me.....ha ha -- but he's a really nice fella and he insisted that he wanted to do something for me.....couldn't turn him down).

Better get my breakfast now.   Have a good TGIF everyone.  Special thoughts and prayers for all in need.   Healing for Susan and fingers crossed for Margo and Jan on house sales.

Good Friday morning everyone. Im trying to get back in the habit of posting here again. I have been lurking every day but just didnt post. However, I am changing that. I have missed  you all.

Im starting the "boot camp back to basics" today, to lose this small regain. I refuse to be obsessed with it any longer. Its easy to fall back into old mindsets when  you have dieted all your life. I will dig out the book I got from the Bariatric Center and reread it, and will dig out my before pictures to inspire me. Im digging out my exercise dvds too. Time to get back in the groove.

My sister has got moved here to Danville, five minutes from me. Her new apartment is beautiful and she keeps it spotless. She is still in shock though, She lived in a hovel totally alone for many years. Now she has family dropping in all the time and taking her places. Today she is driving over here for the first time, so Im looking forward to that. She hasnt been in my home in over 25 years. It is so fun, getting reacquainted! And its funny how much we have in common.

Loveing my garden this year. Hubby dug up part of the back yard and planted cucumbers, tomatoes, zuchinni, green beans and green peppers. Love those fresh veggies!

Well, time to get some breakfast...and write it down,,and then get busy folding laundry. Hope you all have a great day!

Hi Betsy,

Glad to see you posting and it's great you have your sister close by now.   I have very little family that I am close to nearby, but I've certainly got a lot of friends, via AA and WLS.  Great too, that you are remotivated, but not obsessing over your gain, I've remotivated myself with getting back to the gym.  Next year I intend to have a little vegetable garden of my own, now that I work closer to where I live, I may actually have the time necessary to devote to such a thing, as I've always wanted to have my own garden, but city living and then working in the city and living so far away made it impossible, though my housemate's b/f grew some stuff a couple of summers ago.. . .

Anyway, have a great day!

Laureen

Good morning!
Wow, it's almost afternoon.......where does the time go????

I made good progress yesterday........the dinning room is almost empty of moving boxes.  It makes me happy to see the bare floor!  Just think I can go shopping for new furniture soon.  FUN!

I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday.......having another Brachioplasty done...this time with Lipo.  I so hoping that the surgeon will take enough off this time (He left way too much hanging skin the first time).  I'm nervous about surgery because lets face it, no surgery is fun but I'm mostly worried about the results.  I'm keeping positive thoughts that he'll do a bang up job and I'll be happy and wearing sleeveless shirts outside for the first time in 25+ years.  Silly things make me happy.

I did not wake up earlier enough to go for a bike ride today (didn't yesterday either).  Kind of mad at myself that I have let my daily work outs go by the wayside.  I realize it is an important part of my new life style but I still struggle with "enjoying" exercise.....I actually do enjoy bike riding, I'm not crazy about the weight lifting.   I just need to get refocused!

Gotta run up to the library to return my book...it's due a couple days after surgery so best to do it today.

Thinking of making some carrot balls today.....very nice and healthy snack....we like them with our afternoon tea/coffee break.

Hope everyone is doing and feeling well.

Good morning Everyone,

It's almost lunchtime and I'm late to the party, but between rushing out the door so I could attend an early morning AA meeting that is 3 blocks from work and then getting to work and having some things I had to attend to immediately, this is the first chance I've had to stop in and see what everyone else is up to and say hi!

I am meeting the realtor who helped me find my home, when I first moved to SNJ, he is originally from DE and last year moved back to it, since he works here in Wilmington, a block from where I now work, anyway he contacted me just before I started this job and we are finally going to meet for lunch.

After work my plan is to get to the gym, and then I will go home to hang with my best 4-legged male friend, Dillinger, seeing as tomorrow I have that family gtg I mentioned yesterday to attend and then Sunday, me and Dillinger are happy that Tony will be coming to spend the day, he is our favorite two-legged male. . .  lol.

Did I mention that I mostly love my new job, yesterday was a bear of a day, big court case and everyone was in overdrive, today the war is over, victory belongs to our team, so that's a good way to start a weekend!

Well folks, have a great day!

Laureen

Hi Carla and my OFF family:

Wow, what an exciting day yesterday was for a White Sox fan! Mark Buehrle pitched a perfect game and it was saved by a big cat*****enter field by DeWayne Wise, who pulled a home run back, tumbled after he caught it and then caught the ball in his bare hand after it left his glove. Wow, it was exciting. I got to watch the whole game (man, am I glad I have the MLB package on cable ... I would have missed it. The last no-hitter Buehrle pitched, I had to work and didn't DVR it). I was so tired and wanted to nap yesterday afternoon, but every time I would close my eyes, I'd think, can't sleep, he's throwing a perfect game. So I stayed awake and didn't nap.

So then I was sleep at work, but so pumped it didn't matter ... it was like three cups of really strong coffee. Did my three pages last night in 4 1/2 hours, so I'm really better about the new system and think I can do tonight's pages on deadline on it. After doing my business pages and the one page of local briefs, I helped Sports out. Got home after 1 a.m., watched a little SportsCenter on ESPN to recap the perfect game and some other baseball (saw the Angels beat the Twins, so that was good), and got to sleep about 4 a.m. So again, another day of 6 hours of sleep, not enough for me. I have to go in earlier today (3:30 p.m.) because I have to edit and lay out a movie review ... I get overtime for this. I'll miss a good deal of the Sox-Tigers game (first game of a doubleheader). Big four-game series this weekend. The two teams are virtually tied for first (the Sox are percentage points in first). Unfortunately, the Sox don't have a very good pitcher pitching in the first game today, but what can you do? Just hope for the best.

My kitties were extremely affectionate last night, don't know what was up with that. Both of them were on my lap ... usually it's just one or the other. Now they're both off napping by themselves in my bedroom on the floor.

Well, I've blabbed on enough here. I've only had one cup of coffee, but I have this adrenaline rush from yesterday yet. Hope the Sox can keep it up, they're playing well right now (other than that blown game the other day).

Have a good day.

Good morning /almost afternoon Carla and everyone.....

I had several errands to run and do this morning that is why I am so late checking in today.

Things are pretty quiet around here. Then sun is shining and the weather is gorgeous!!

I spoke with Nic last night. He was kind of bummed because today he has to have IVs put in and it hurts so much. He has very difficult veins to get into. It takes them so long to get it done. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers today.

I spoke with Kyleigh last night too. She was laughing and joking around.Picking on me like she always has!!! It does my heart good to hear her like this.

Today is my youngest grandson Lucas' 11th birthday! He is so excite about it!! What a great kid!

Enough chit chat from me.....boring!!!

Have a happy day everyone....know you are cared about.

Prayers to those in need.
