Karen, the mail dried, and I opened the envelope and the article was in tact and must tell you that he sounds like me. When I have the time, I stop on the freeway that goes from here to the River Valley and climb up on a place where they cut through the mountain because it is all coal and we all know what coal is, right? So, I look in the shale for fern fossils and find plenty. The really good ones, I give as gifts to my grands. My grandsons are quite the little fossil hunters. The eleven year old found a fossil filled with shells and teeth and he found it in my back yard. So, he didn't fall far from the tree.
Thanks again for the article.
Thanks again for the article.

Wonder if the guy still lives where he was then How old was that article? 15 years or so? For the rest of you my mom cut out articles of interest to her and saved them forever. I'm still going through her personal things from her desk two years after she died. Keep finding stuff that I think others would like. This was an article about a fossil collecter in southern Missouri not too far from Jeannie. One of these days Jeannie I WILL be going "hunting" with you!
