Love the pen. I have a "thing" for pens. What is the wood you used? I have a couple of wooden pens.. bought and gave many for gifts. The only problem I have with wooden pens is the designs are usually are hard to grip and control when writing. But, boy they sure look good on the desk ! !

LOL I thought I was the only one with a thing for pens. My BFF makes fun of it all the time.....suddenly I will get a package in the mail with 25-50 used pens she's collected from various peoples desks at work. She's a hoot!!

I actually kept some old "desk stuff" that belong to my S-dad... it dates back to the 50's -60's ... just old wooden pencils.... lol I thought about selling them on Ebay but can't part with them... I think it might be a kind of sickness.... lol sigh.... Some people just don't understand.

Good morning all. I've got 10 of my closest WLS friends coming over today for "girl time". Burgers on the grill, swimming and chatting. What could be better? Got SF baked beans in the oven, SF raspberry lemonade made and strawberries with SF fruit dip ready plus everyone is bringing something. Should be a grand day. Hope your's is fantastic as well.

RNY revision from lapband 7/30/07...TT/BL 10/9/08 and at GOAL
Well, this morning was a surprise as I was able to talk Gary into walking the dogs with me. I made him take the two younger ones and I took the old lady. She doesn't pull as much. It was nice to get him out with me, but most of the time he walks at least 10-15 feet in front of me. He says I walk too slow. Even after I had foot surgery he walked in front of me. He doesn't like to hold hands, so that's not an option to keep him near. Oh well, at least he was out there. When we got home I said I was going to go to Walmart, Kroger and Aldi. He decided to go with me. yah
What fun that is. He's so impatient, and when he goes we spend so much more money....role reversal here. I picked up some Fit & Active Turkey meatballs at Aldi that really looked good. wish I could have tried them tho. Got three cans of sardines, they just sounded good and I know they're good for me. They also had Michigan Blueberries for $.99 a pint. They're gigantic berries and soooo sweet. I bought six pints and will freeze part of them if I don't eat them all first.
I'm reading the last JD Robb book right now, then I have to move on to another author. I've heard that Jodi Prillott (or something like that) is a good author. Anyone have any suggestions. I've read almost every Nora Roberts book too. I only have three more of Janet Evanovich (I have two at home here and need the last one 15 from the library)
Still not feeling quite up to par. Sort of weakish. I'm not getting in enough calories either. The proteins are between 60-70 but I'm only averaging around 500 calories. I'm afraid to eat too much. Don't want to stretch my pouch.

Hi,
Glad you are doing well after your recent surgery!!! As you know I have not had WLS surgery so I can't speak from experience but 500 cals sounds low to me....my friends who did have WLS surgery were averaging a bit more than that. This could be why you feel a little weak. Why don't you call your NUT or Dr just to run it by them. If you need to add another 100 - 300 cals you can add a few protein powder drinks (EAS Whey Protein is 120 cals a scoop....add 5 oz of water and you have a drink packed with protein.....I think it's 23 grs) Just a thought.
I love blueberries and just picked some up yesterday. I like to fresh them and then add 1/2 a cup (sometimes 1 cup) to my vanilla protein drinks......YUMMY!

I know for a fact that I'm not getting in enough calories. I should be at 700-900. I just seem to feel icky after I eat. Today I've had a can (3 filets) of sardines, they've
191 calories and 22.7 gm of protein. I also had a chai tea with protein and blueberries. So far only 420 cals and 50.7 protein. I know I have to eat something more, but my tummy isn't up for putting anything in it. I still have about 48 oz of water to get in too. I really didn't think I would be one of those people having trouble eating! Never before in my life!!!! I'm going to google Bene Protein and see if I can add that to my crystal light. I'm getting tired of the milky type shakes.
Remember, you're not getting younger....no stairs, drive to the beach and enjoy.
