Me at RNY x 3 years
well good morning everyone,
three years ago today a very nice but overweight lady, MOI, had RNY surgery.
i was not sure what my future would hold, would i lose the weight, would I
keep it off. how would my life change was the big question.
well, i have lost the weight, and i have kept most of it off too. over the three
years i have put back 9 pounds, which i am not happy about but im still down
114 pounds. i try to celebrate that fact and not beat myself up about the regain.
my appetite has returned after a long honeymoon period, and i fight the night
time snack monster still. at least the snacks i keep in the house are so much
healthier today then three years ago.
spending time here with all of you is one of my saving graces. although i used
to go to support group once a month, with all my health issues that has fallen
by the wayside for now. i also was not getting what i needed there for a long time.
i am so thankful for this second chance i have at a healthier life. my blood pressure
is back to normal, my cholesterol is down within a more normal range, and i am no
longer pre diabetic. the only med i take aside from my vitamins, is for reflux, which found
me again after the surgery.
so why am i telling all of you this today you may ask?? well first i want to celebrate
my achievement and all of your achievements. secondly, i want to re-dedicate myself
to this new and healthier person that i have become. third, i want to look at continuing
to work on those few pounds and be certain that they do not become a few more!.
Most of all, i am so glad we have this group here so we can talk on a daily basis and
share all of our lives, the good, the bad and the ugly. and the funny of course, we all do
need to laugh after all.
be safe and well everyone, have a great sunday,
hugs, jacki

Jacki, you are so sweet! Congratulations to you. Now,I understand abou****ching your weight, do you think your night snacking may be a real food need. You sound awful small baby. Your tag line says you were 10 pounds below goal,so maybe your body is fighting for what it needs.
I know when I drop below a certain point,I am not my best,I am actually weak. I know this is a personal desire, and I agree we need to be vigilant so our success is ongoing.
I too get more here than from outside support groups,OFF is a custom fit for me.
Please be happy,I find gratitude keeps me going, and I want you to be happy also. Because I see so much in you Jacki, you are a good person.

I want to CONGRATULATE you not only with successfully losing the weight but on keeping it off. Maintenance is truly the hardest part. You should be SO PROUD of yourself for keeping it off all this time.
Super Duper........Kudos to you!!!!
