Good morning, lovely one,

I made it through my first day back at work with flying colors. I'm sure my co-workers think I'm crazy, but I'd rather be up and about than laying around.

Food was okay, too. Took everything I needed with me and if I bring home empty containers, then I know I planned well. I'm going to have to start pacing my calories a little bit better through the day to leave some for an evening snack. Those demons may never leave me, so I'd best just plan for it, right?

2 1% SF lattes
bkfst burrito
pb&j sandwich on double fiber bread
cottage cheese and canteloupe
chicken and rice casserole
2% latte
3 cinnamon graham crackers

Hope everyone's day is a wonderful one

Susan

Linda,

My husband watched a show like that last weekend (maybe the same episode).  The food servings were obscene.  I probably would have been delighted with a mountain of food like that in the old days, but it grosses me out now, too.

The weather here is still dismal.  I have to take one of the dogs to the vet this morning for his annual exam and shots.  He doesn't like car rides too much - I think it gives him motion-sickness - but at least he sits still.  Unlike the rest of the gang.  The only one of our dogs *****ally likes car rides is Polly (the pug).  She likes to help me drive and gives a constant commentary on everything she sees.  She is going to be majorly pissed off when Georgie and I leave her behind this morning.

After we leave the vet's office, Georgie and I will get my morning iced skinny latte.  When you use the drive-up window at the cafe and have a dog in the car, the dog gets a free biscuit!

B: breakfast banana split
S: banana w/ PB2 dip
L: chicken liver pate on multi-grain English muffin
S: plumcots
D: mustard-dill catfish, mashed cauliflower, eggplant w/ goat cheese
S: strawberries stuffed w/ sweetened ricotta cheese

Jean, I read your post on the doggy cookie and it made me think of something and I had to share it...

When our little Barney Joe was alive he loved his cookies. When you go to the drive up at the bank and the dog is in the car they got a cookie and Barney knew that. All we would have to say is "bank" and he would go nuts and ready to do...he was at the door jumping all over and making noises. He knew what he was going to get. It was so funny......  Boy do I miss that little guy..well he wasn't little by a long shot...he was a yellow lab and weighed about 65 pounds. But he was our little baby and hated to be called a dog..he would get a look on his face. Now if you called him baby boy he was happy and would show it. Have I got stories about him and what he would do....he was raised as a child and acted it every bit of the time too!

Brenda,

Barney Joe sounds like my kinda guy!

My dogs act like spoiled children.   I wonder why?

LOL Jean,Pookie gets free treats, but she turns her nose up,she does not eat dog food. She is my first doggie who won't as she almost died when she was born, her mommie was sick and could not nurse. She has baby bottles with stuff from the vet,but would not take it. She was so small, she fit into the palm of one of my hands. Anyway,I gave her some mashed potatoes and that was all she wrote, I make sure she gets her whole grains and such, she has never had worms or anything.....her's my baby.
I remember when no amount of food would fill me up,I would eat until I was in pain and could only lay down, promising tomorrow would be different.
Now,I am more of a gormet,I watch their shows too, they will never get fat,as gormet must mean "small amount",,,,LOL!
Take care,dear Miss,Jean.

Good morning to you, lovely Linda. I am sure that your day is going well...but it is still early for you. I have been up for a bit and took my osteo meds...I need to take that on an empty stomach before any other meds. I have to take my antibiotic right now. I want to try to eat in a couple of hours. But the ironic thing is that I have to wait 2 hours before I eat after taking them and about 2 hours after I take them I get so sick to my stomach I don't want to eat. How is that for life? I should talk to the doctor about that one. But I finish up the antibiotic on Saturday...and will probably go on another one when I see her on Tuesday...that is my luck...crappy!

I didn't do to good yesterday with food. I really tried but dinner was fairly good. I didn't get sick either so that is good.

B: 1 ww toast with peanut butter...not good at all either!
L: nothing
D: a whole chicken breast...yes it was small but I ate the whole thing...and 1 small piece of potato and some cottage cheese too...and I forgot a tiny bit of cauliflower
S: a tiny bit of popcorn

I am so proud that dinner was as good as it was. I was really surprised that it went as well as it did. I hope that today is as good. I am going to make some talapia tonight for dinner. I am also planning on having a tiny bit of mashed sweet potato too...that sounds really good to me and has for a couple of days now...I have been thinking of them so tonight is the night!

Have a great day and just think...we are over the hump so the week end isn't far away now! I can't wait....

I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are being said for you and yours. Know that you are loved and don't forget to scatter and scatter some more. That is what we are suppose to do...scatter the good all around us.
