Brenda,
It IS fun. I enjoy working part time after years of super long hours.

Let me tell you how good that is for Lindsay.  I am 58 years old.  Quite possibly in the best shape I have been since the early 1990's.  I can throw a baseball at about 45 MPH.  So she does real good.

George,
Thank you for putting that into perspective for me. I guess you must have figured out that I am not usually 'in the know' about sports.

Good Monday morning, y'all.

Good weekend.  My DH has just about gotten everything moved from our old 'shed' to the new one.  It will be his CB hangout and workshop.  This 'shed' is 12' X 20', has a loft on each side, is insulated and paneled.  Has electric, but not running water.

We have been having a ton of rain here and I am getting tired of it.

My DH and I both have our regular 6 month dental appointment this morning.  Then he has an eye appointment this afternoon.  Gotta get groceries in there somewhere.

I am really hoping I hear from the surgeon's office today with a date for my gall bladder surgery.  I LOVE that I am still losing weight slowly.  I HATE that I have so much tummy pain quite often when I eat.  I'm a little worried about keeping the weight off once I am able to eat normally again.

Tomorrow I am going to tackle the rest of the papers from Mom's estate that I had shipped here.  My Dad kept every piece of paper from as far back as when the world began!!!  Doctor records, taxes, bank records, receipts from everything they ever bought, stuff he researched online.  I have 5 files boxes full of  that stuff.  Plus all his old military records, his old patents, his old records from his 32 years at his job, records on the old antique car they restored.  I have 3 more file boxes of that stuff.  I need to decide what to keep, what to shred, and what to throw out.  Of course, if Dad kept it, Mom kept it after he passed away.  We bought a new heavy duty shredder yesterday, cause I already burned one up shredding stuff.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

I know what you mean about saving every piece of paper your Dad got.

My Mom was cleaning stuff out one day when she still lived with us....she came out to me and said "Should I still keep this?" and handed me a paper that turned out to be the receipt from when she had bought a house when Dad was still in the war...she had bought a carpet and wondered if she would still need it. I told her no that I thought that the carpet was probably gone now too....

Then when my BIL passed I helped my sister go through things. Rusty, bless his heart, kept everything. Carolyn tried to tell me this and then when I finally knew for sure she was right was when I found a note from their first landlord about something from doing some repair on the apartment or something. That note was from 20 years before. Carolyn couldn't even remember who it was from and then remembered it was the landlord.

I am worried when I pass they will say the same thing about me.....

Good Morning everyone!!

The sun is shinning and the sky is rumbling (thunder), so far no rain.  I'm beginning to learn that is the norm for this area.

Got to see some NY baseball this weekend.......had to watch the Yankees instead of the Mets but at least it was a NY team.  Once I know for sure which house we will settle in I will order a sports pkg so I can watch my teams......Hockey season is not far away......Go Rangers!

Kind of excited........ I go on my last consultation in search of a plastic surgeon tomorrow morning (early).  I stumbled on this guy last week kind of by accident.  I like what I read but he had no before/after pictures but I made the appointment anyway.  Well yesterday I got a met 2 woman on OH who had work done by him and they are thrilled!  So I'm excited because if I like him after meeting I can actually start planning my LBL and Thighplasty (finally!).

Woke up with a headache this morning....didn't really get to sleep till 3:30!  I hate nights like that..

I think I need to find an "accountability partner" to help me get back on track with my daily workouts.  I'm making way too many excuses and really need to get back into a regular routine.  Having to report my daily workout might be a good thing until I can get a regular routine going again.....

Have to call the insurance company to find out why they are not paying the Dr for the stress test....I think it's just a glitch in their paperwork.

Going to make some calls to see if I can find a massage therapist who does lymph drainage massage.....should help with swelling on the arms.

Going to make breakfast (oatmeal).
Hope you all have a marvelous Monday!

Be careful what sports package you order.  With DISH and with UVerse, I had the opportunity to get FoxSports NY and a couple of other NY sports stations.  Only to find out the games are blacked out outside of NY.  I think the only way to get them is to order the entire MLB Extra Innings package for Baseball, and the same thing for the other sports.

Good Morning George and all,

Let's see, it is hot here, and with little to no air conditioning in this big old house it has been a bit miserable.
Saturday I got up early as always and cleaned out the fridge, then we took some furniture out to Beth's new apt (about 20 miles away) was almost there and realized we had forgotten the key to the apt. So had to turn around and go back...lost about an hour there. Got the furniture all unloaded and got back home. Got groceries. Then just took it easy as it was too hot to do much more. Yesterday, I got up early and cleaned the guest room. After church we went up to Green Bluff and got peaches and corn, went to the mall and got my ring checked out and cleaned and bought new bathroom rugs for the bathroom. Showed Tom the anniversary ring that would match my ring beautifully in case he wanted to get me one for next year.
Well, now that was boring.....sorry.....
So, what I am saying is that I had a pretty productive weekend considering how hot it was here. 103 on Saturday. I know that's normal for some of you but for us it's pretty hot, at least having so many days in a row like this up in the high 90s and triple digits.
Tom's mom will be here Wednesday so I am still cleaning a little every day.
Well, up to the hot treadmill....well, the room is hot, the treadmill not so much.
Take care all,
Cheryl

Cheryl...think of a positive out this whole thing....

When you work on the treadmill you are also getting a sauna all at the same time.

I hope that your temps cool down soon...I know when we have hit those temps you just want o crawl into the freezer! I am glad that we haven't had them this summer...they can be killers for sure.

Stay hydrated......

Thanks, Brenda,

I just keep remembering how freezing cold winter was and all the snow we had and how 2 summers ago I would have died in this heat. Now, I'm just very uncomfortable like normal people are.
