Good  morning  everyone!
I just checked  my last post was over a week ago.  where does the time go?
Had a good week and weekend here  spent most of week with mom  she was having a great few days   even got her out to her home so she could make my step dad a loaf of bread!     Had a college friend here for part of the weekend   I only get to see her every 5 years as shes a missionary in Africa  but it was so good to see her!  hubby worked again this weekend  so I made sure he had some of his favorite meals and mostly left him alone,   when hes so tired that's the  nicest I can do for him.
I got 3 young fosters yesterday.  I had blueberries to put up  and of course they needed to"HELP"   what fun!  they had never had blueberries before and watching little faces when they get a sour one or one of the sweetest ones  was so much fun!  It only took me 3 times as long to freeze the berries with their help!

I need to thank those of you who offered kind words last week when I was upset about my feelings for mom.  You will never  know what they meant to me   thank you .
   Have a great Monday everyone!

Hi George and my OFF family:

Well, I hope the White Sox can help the Rangers out and beat the Angels, but man, they are a tough team this year. Even without Torii Hunter in the lineup, they're good. This week's series that starts Tuesday is Mark Buehrle appreciation series (with special giveaways) ... wish I could get some, but of course, I can't afford them (there's special prices for tickets ... like as low as $9, but then I'd have to drive to Chicago, and I can't afford it ... and I'd be too uncomfortable anyway ... plus I have to work!).

The Sox lost yesterday, with Buehrle pitching ... much less than perfect this time. Oh well, they took three out of four from the Yankees at least. I spent the day watching baseball, doing laundry, cleaning litter boxes, baking chocolate zucchini muffins. I went over to my neighbors with some blueberry muffins, then the zucchini muffins when they were done ... we talked for awhile. Sandy, the woman, knows Dr. Baker well (he runs the bariatric center) ... she is interested in WLS and wants to talk with me about it sometime. Sure, I said, I'd be glad to let her know. I told her I had it done lap, and showed her what was left of my scars ... you can't hardly see them. She was impressed. Dr. Baker has tried to talk her into having it, but she has had so many surgeries due to an auto accident, she's a little leery. Nice people, very much into their flowers (makes me sneeze). They also have a canary ... when I came back I told the cats there was birdie next door ... they both lifted their heads and went back to sleep.

I have an appointment early this afternoon with my psychologist and then I think I'm going to go to see the Harry Potter movie. I woke up too early because it was windy and raining in my open windows. It's very cool this morning. I had to close all the windows because I'm freezing. I like it in the 70s, but this is a little too chilly even for me.

Anyone else notice that their allergies have been worse this summer because of the cooler weather? I noticed that the pollen counts, which usually go down in July and August, are up. I think there's a story idea there.

Anyway, that's all for me today. I'm off because I have to work Saturday night, so I'm on the Tuesday-Saturday schedule for the next few weeks.

Have a good day.

Eileen, I have had a lot more problems with my allergies this summer too. And the kicker is that they started earlier too. I am changing my allergy meds AGAIN and hoping that they work. I still take the nasal spray for them too.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good morning George and everyone.....

I am finally caught up on all the posts on OFF from the weekend. I hate when I can't get on here everyday.

I am in pain today...the weather has been so damp and cold. We get one nice day every once in awhile. I am sick of this nasty weather....I need heat and sunshine!!

Nothing new to report. Still having issues with depression. I sure wish I could be out walking...I always felt good when I could do my morning walks.

I have a busy work day today so I best get to it.

Have a great day everyone. Love all the new avatars. Everyone looks so pretty!!

Prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Connie:

I understand/feel your pain. My knee and back are hurting me today ... probably from the dampness and from overdoing it a bit yesterday from the baking. Sorry you are having issues with depression. Does talking to someone help? I'm always available.

I know I always felt better when I could swim ... I miss my swimming!

Good Morning Everyone...Just a short note this morning to say I am still "kicking" and doing just fine.  It's been a busy and eventful summer for me.  The weight continues to melt off and I'm feeling super duper.  Just wanted to wish everyone a great day and  perhaps one of these days I can tell you what I've been up to.  Love ya all...

Good morning friends,

We've had a busy couple of weekends with company.  The weather hasn't been the greatest, with showers off and on.  We no sooner got in the pool on Saturday and it started raining.  It poured on Sunday, but the sun is out shining brightly today - lol - crazy weather.

Connie, I'm sorry you are in pain.  I hope you feel better soon.

I'm wishing happiness to everyone for a great Monday!

Hi George and my OFF friends,

George, don't you LOVE Genghis Grill?  One opened up about 3 months ago here in Little Rock and you can hardly get into the place. Thank goodness there is finally a place where we can get fairly healthy food. I stop by on my way home and get a really large single order and it's enough for both of us for dinner, sometimes even some leftovers. Yipee!

Here it is 11:00 a.m. and I'm still in jammies. At least I've done some puttering, but not really much to speak of. We had a great day together yesterday. After breakfast we drove into town for a quick (2 items) run to Sam's. Then, had to go to the jail to meet one of Gary's new participants for a drug test. She's new in the program and has to be watched very closely. So, while he waited for her urine sample, I sat in the car and read. Stuck my legs out the door for a little sun. Didn't do much good, I'm still as white as the queen's butt!

After the fun at the jail, we went to see Harry Potter and really enjoyed it. I ate WAYYYYYYY too much popcorn. The scale was up 2 lbs today, and I'm sure that's the reason. Oh well, pushing fluids today.

Had a very nice surprise yesterday. A local magazine spotlighted SaintBella in a "What's New" section!!!  A pretty nice photo with a blurb about how it's made locally by Susan Higgins and Tess Wilmans-Higgins. Pretty cool, huh? Not only that, but they did a feature article on a prominent family here in AR. Before their photo shoot I did their hair and Tess did the make up. We have our names in the credits!  This is my first time, but not Tess' by any means. At least I got billed above her...LOL

Okay, I've got to get SOMETHING  done around the house today. So....Margo, best of luck with the house, looks like there is a flurry of interest there. Eileen and Connie, hope you're feeling better soon.
Annette, hope you had fun playing in the clay today.

Hope everyone else's worries and woes a less today than yesterday, and that the sun shines on al of you!

Susan
