I think I am falling apart... and other ramblings...

First my knee... then when it started feeling a little better I started the new job and it really started hurting...
Weathered that, and the gout flared up and my foot was literally killing me! ... now I seem to be getting that under control...
..... then I tweaked my back somehow... I think it was lifting a bunch of fairly heavy boxes at work... next morning I literally could not get out of bed!... every time I tried moving my back muscles would constrict and a piercing pain would shoot up my back. I finally got out of bed and veerrrrryyyy slowly made it into the shower and let ho****er run on my back... took some Doans pills (am I supposed to take those???) and survived the Friday at work... been moving very gingerly all weekend... wearing one of those pain patches... bleeech...
OK... done whining I guess... it seems like every time I try and get my s$#@ together I am attacked by obstacles!
I have lost 8 pounds on the Weigh****chers... not following it exactly yet, but getting closer all the time. All the junk I was eating is gone now... and I even had steamed broccoli and some mushrooms for lunch! ... thank goodness I love veggies!
I made a couple of pens today... just taking it easy in the shop... and one of the chunks of Bethlehem Olive Wood I have caught my eye... so I made a pen out of it, and man-oh-man what a nice chunk of wood!
Let's see... what else... oh yeah, my new puppy has eaten all of our shoes and even dug up the wood floor in the dining room... Thanks Lucy... ya little butthead... sheesh!
OK... babbled on enough for now... hope everyone has a great week.
Mama said there'd be days like this! I'm sorry that you are dealing with these things..sometimes I feel the same way. I took a bad fall middle of June and landed flat on my face...cheekbones and forehead were black and blue and my left knee was so swollen, you could see it sticking out from under my skirt...even today, though nothing was broken, it's still badly bruised and then I got hit with pimples! sheesh! I had peaches and cream skin all of my life and suddenly I get ZITS?? This all happened about the same time that I got the flu...body aches, coughing, sweats and chills..the both eyes severely infected then strep throat..all in a three week period. Need I say more?
I do have to say how gorgeous that pen is! My dad, now gone fourteen years, was a carpenter and loved to do carvings for a hobby, especially ducks and animals. I LOVE the smell of fresh wood and that pen looks like it is one of those rare pieces that just fit into one's hand perfectly...that's hard to come by..bravo! Someone will be honoured and very proud to own that pen!
I feel like I'm falling apart some days too. But I wouldn't be 16 again for all the tea in China.
You made that pen?! It's amazing!
What kind of dog is Lucy? Our puppies (4) removed most of the vinyl flooring from our storage room. I looked outside one morning and found pieces of flooring all over our deck and yard. When my husband got home from work that day, he threatened to take the puppies to the Wal-Mart parking lot and give them away to any fool who would take them. That was a few months ago, and the puppies are still here.

The 4th puppy, Teddy, looks like Meg (tan). He was in the living room chewing on my armchair when this photo was taken.
Too many dogs!
