Karen,

I arrive the evening of 8/7 and depart the morning of 8/17.

I'll be at the OH event on Saturday, 8/15.

My hostess, Lisa O., is having a get-together at her house with a bunch of OH members on Friday, 8/14, starting at 6:30 pm.  It would be wonderful if you could join us - the more the merrier!  Send me a PM if you think you could make it.

Morning Linda,

It has been so hot here, I just have been eating when I feel like it...too too hot. We don't have real air conditioning in this old monster. We have fans and a little window conditioner that cools off one room, but not the kitchen, bath, or bedrooms. I do have one up on the third floor in my scraproom that gets the temp down to about 85 but that is still too hot for me. So my food for this weekend was not so hot, but really not too bad considering.

B-toast, coffee
cottage cheese, and blueberries
L-granola bar and cherries
S-watermelon and granola bar
D-steak kabob, little bit of corn on the cob
S-granola bar and tea

I am dreading the treadmill...hot...whine, whine, whine....I really feel pretty good just wanted to complain a bit.

Have a good one...
Cheryl

I know, I know, . . . I'm thinking maybe I died in my sleep and ended up in hell (by mistake of course!) Still over 100 today. Supposed to cool down Thursday. I reserved a condo at Ocean SHores for Aug 21-23. I've been working on this way too long. Something always goes wrong. Either the dates are wrong for the kids, or the place makes a mistake in booking, or it just isn't right. . . .

Dearest Cheryl,it is awful to be too hot! It even affects us mentally. I wish there was something you could do,like put a 2nd air conditioner in the "cool room".
I am so sorry, please be careful of exercise when you are too hot.
Hugs.

Hi Linda,

We love the fresh air, when it's fresh! So don't really want to put an air conditioner in the bedroom but it sure has been tempting the past couple of days. We don't ususally have quite so many hot hot days...It's suppose to cool down later this week.
I get up about 4:30am and walk the treadmill around 5:30am. I turn the air on up there and fan so it stays about 75 while I run/walk. Couldn't do it later in the day that's for sure!

I'll come swim with you!

Good Morning!!

Well something is "eating me" cause I'm off my food (as my grandmother would say)...I just am not sure exactly what it is.....actually I have a pretty good idea but am just avoiding it.  Plus I have a lot on my plate right now (pun intended) with the houses, arm surgery last week, planning my lower body lift in about 4-5 weeks, etc etc.  Plus I just think I'm really missing my friends and family (they are all back on Long Island, NY).  Anyway........

Monday Food will be........

B:   2/3 cup Oatmeal (my mix of oatmeal, oat bran, mixed seeds, raisins, cranberries).  Topped with walnuts, honey, cinnamon and flaxseed oil.  Hot Tea
S:   Protein Powder drink (EAS Whey Protein)
L:  2.5 oz Chicken breast and 2 cups shredded cabbage sautéed with onions.  Plain yogurt   (I’m very boring lately with lunches, seem to eat the same thing over and over)
S:  Fiber One cereal, 1 apple, Coffee
S:   another protein powder if I'm low on protein for the day
D:   Fish – either Talapia with cajuin spices or Salmon grilled
       Brocolli
       Pickled Beets

S:     Fruit plate – cantaloupe, cherries, blueberries

Sorry you had to reschedule your appointment. Hope you can get in again soon.

Much love and hugs as always...Boo...to you!

Good morning to you, Linda. I am hoping that this day that starts out a new and exciting week is great for you.

I spent 14 hours at David's yesterday and OMG....I know why God makes sure that we can't have children when we get to be our age!!!! But then again...I wouldn't have my kids like they do anyway. Neither of them listen unless THEY want to...and with Michael that isn't ever! The problem is no one follows through with them...they threaten and then let it go. Not good!!!!!!

I ate good yesterday. But maybe a bit to good if you know what I mean. I didn't have good choices to choose from either...in fact there was no choice at all. I got what I got and if I didn't eat it there was nothing else. Oh well...we have to adjust to life sometimes...life can't always adjust to us.

B: McD's hazelnut iced coffee with cream and splenda
L: pasta w/ sauce and 1 piece of cheese garlic bread
D: 2 pieces of pizza with everything on it (it was good though!!)
S: nothing

I am home today and so things are going to be better food wise.

I am sending you love and hugs for you today and prayers are being said for you and yours. Have a great one today and remember to scatter!!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
