If your insurance paid for the surgery, I think they should have told you what they cover for post op follow up.

My DH has Medicare and they cover a year of follow up, whi*****ludes fills.

I was self pay and have to pay for all my fills and follow up.

Hmm.  Perhaps my DH's charges for the entire thing that they submitted to Medicare includes the fills and that's why they are covered.

He has only had ONE fill however, because his doctor keeps telling him he is 'right on track' with his weight loss of about 2 pounds a MONTH!!!!  He has no restriction and is relying simply on the Atkin's Diet.  Now I understand why this DR kept saying he wasn't gonna lose much weight and was very anti-band.  I'm not sure what he has to do to actually get another fill.  Gain weight?

My insurance (Anthem BC/BS) has paid for all my fills, possibly because my surgeon's office codes them as a regular office visit when they submit the claim.  I don't know what the deal would be if my fills were done under fluoro, though.
