you could be pregnant!
sorry-
having never had poison ivy i can only relate to the suffering of others and say ouch!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

You are just mean. LOL.  I had a pregnancy scare when I began going through menopause.  I missed a period and then another and got sick, it was the flu, but I did one of those home things and went straight to two lines, which is yes.  I ran to the doctor because I was like 45ish and said, please, tell me it ain't so and he did the test and said, I have some bad news and some good, which do you want.  I said the good and he said you are not pregnant.  The bad news, you are hitting menopause. I said, yes, yes, yes.  No more periods.  Well, as it turned out, I had another year or two of them, but no babies.  LOL

My husband is not allergic to the ivy either and I must say that I envy him.  He can pull it, and stack it, and roll in it, and every once in a while, he'll say his hands burn a little.  But, when he washes them, the burning stops.  How lucky is he?

There is nothing as irritating as an ivy itch.  And, even after a shower, the oils still stay on and can still be spread.  In fact, I think when I bathed, I spread it to more senstive parts.  I hate the ivy.  But, today, it is less itchy and already the hives are going down.  My students got a kick out of it.  They kept saying, you are so red and swollen. Does it itch?  I said, is a pig's butt pressed ham when he sits down?  Of course they had to think for a minute before saying, yeah.  Kids.
