Well it is 0151am and I am still up knitting. I have 21 dishclothes to knit before September.
So I am busy knitting away. My arm is killing me!!!!!!
I got a new blender as my old faithful black and decker was smoking. So I thought I better get another one before I had a fire!!!!!
I think I am back on track with loosing 20 pounds.  I lost 2 pounds this past week.
All is good.
I am getting ready to travel again to Denver for 9 days......
Still havent heard when my next nuclear scan is for my thyroid cancer. I think the oncologist office forgot about me. Ill have to call them tomorrow. I am getting kind of worried about it.
We had thunder rolling but no storm. I hope it rains tomorrow the humidity is a lot.
Well type on folks.

Its 2:22 here in MIchigan!
IM  still up because I have another screamer.  I sometimes think it easier to just spend the night holding the kids than continually getting up when they start the screaming from night terrors,   I thank the Good MAN  above for my wonderful baby sitter!   Ill be able to sleep a couple hrs in the am.
There is a wonderful soft breeze coming in my computer room window  right where Im  sitting.  It is so soft and sweet.
Hope every thing goes alright with your scan carla
Have a great day

Hello All,
I'm getting ready for bed. I just played Scrabble and I will get my nighty on and read a while before bed. I'm switched around time wise again- it happens every summer.  I go to bed late and sleep late. Then when school starts I have hell to pay getting back into the routine of getting up early to get to work. It is what it is I guess.
Tomorrow I have a hair appointment and a National Night Out picnic to attend. I'll have to get to the store and pick out something to throw together for the pot luck. I also need to get my laundry done. I have a scrapbook convention coming up and I'm staying three days. That will be my last hurrah before school starts.

Good morning all.  I will save the baseball talk til the end of this post, so you can stop reading when you get to it if you want.

It has been a good day.  Catching up on Big Brother over the net.  WOW!!!  If anyone wants to discuss BB, I am always willing.  And if you like, we can discuss it by PM so as not to spoil it for others.  Suffice it to say that tonight was a wing dinger.

Working all six days this week at the part time job.

Oleta's mother is at her house now.  Hospice care started this evening.  They will be there for 8 hours a day, every day.  She has a hospital bed, and all the IVs and oxygen she is supposed to have.

Today it looks like Mary has nothing planned.  So she gets to lay in bed with me for a while before she gets up and starts doing "stuff".  I know she is going to CVS to get some of the sale stuff.

Now to baseball (so those of you that want can tune out).  The Rangers future pitched tonight.  He has been the talk of the organization for two years.  Young kid, FAST.  Neftali Feliz.  He pitched two innings. Struck out the first four batters he faced.  Was throwing it up there at 99-101 MPH.  He struck out two batters on changeups that were 91MPH.  Changeups.   But that is slow compared to the 100MPH the previous pitch was.  Oakland's first baseman looked silly during his at bat.  Neftali threw a 99 MPH pitch, and followed it up with an 81 MPH.  His knees buckled.

We lost the game by giving up 3 runs in the 9th inning. You'd think we were the Cubs.  Our closer blew a beautiful game.  The A's had only gotten 2 hits in the previous 8 innings.  CJ Wilson gave up 4 hits in 2/3 of an inning.  And 3 runs.  We lost 3-2.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I was watching that game ... that young pitcher looked nasty. You guys made out great in the Mark Teixeria trade with Andrus and Perez. Wow. But then I fell asleep and didn't see the end of the game (that's what happens when I get up at 8 a.m. ... I can't stay awake long enough). I was surprised to see the Rangers lost. Oh well ... it happens.

Morning Carla, Julie & George & All the Rest of you OFFr's,

First off thanks for all the kind responses, prayers and thoughts for me and Dillinger, he is doing good today.

Carla, congrats on taking back your control with regard to your weight and please be sure to get whatever testing necessary!

Well I woke up, bright as a sunny day at 4 this morning, even Dillinger was in deep sleep and when I finally decided it was time to put the pot of coffee on and drink a bottle of water, it was just before 5 a.m., guess my body determined I only needed a short sleep last night. . .  anyway, nothing too exciting going on today, simply going to work and coming home to spend time with my boy, that's my life these days, very low key, though I did manage to get out Sunday and finally purchased a sleep sofa for my new porch/family room and a beautiful new queensize storage bed that I fell in love with, it has cedar draws and is hand polished Australian pine, though I will need a step stool to get into it.  Not having it delivered until the couch comes in, because of course they don't stock it in the color I wanted, which is a nice deep brown, so probably end of September, early October, so now I will have extra beds for anyone who wants to come visit in the Philadelphia area. . .

Time to get ready for work, so I can afford to pay for my new furniture. . .

You all have a wonderful day!

Hugs, Laureen

Thanks Randa!

I knew I needed to put a new one up, don't like what it looks like on here, as it makes me look so dumpy, but at least I now have one that is not 6 months old ;)

21 dishclothes to knit before september???????????????

morning!

spent last nite trying to compare car insurance stuff- our carrier is not licensed in hawaii so we have to switch companies--and i can only get an ohio quote cuz i don't have an actual addy in hawaii yet--but i got a ballpark- wow- sticker shock! but it won't kill us...so i think i will switch companies now cuz they gave me a savings over what we are currently paying...will keep the homeowner's with current folk tho cuz the new company was double! yikes!
once we get moved and get renter's policy i can cancel.

nothing fromthe teacher who saw the house- i'm praying the first guy makes an offer....no discrimination intended-just practicality and a better "gut" feeling....

today is work-not sure what else- have to do some serious straightening of my genealogy papers etc--start packing them-gulp!--can i put myself on hold for a few months????even tho it's a mess; i like having it all right here if i get the urge to search!!!

well- hugs and prayers to all...

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
