Back from the doctors
I have injured my back due to improper lifting of heavy stuff.. lifting and turning at the same time to be exact, according the PT guy... the doctor said this is treatable without surgery... thank God...
Got muscle relaxers and hydrocodone for the pain and some exercises to do.
The doctor called down to the physical therapy group and asked for an appointment with the guy who does backs... was told 2 weeks... the doctor said very calmly "I want him seen today so I can confirm my diagnosis" and they said "we will see him immediately" Wow... talk about having some pull around the office!
I went down to the PT group and the PT saw me immediately... lots of questions and probing with the fingers... hurt like all get-out! I was surprised at how much flexibility I no longer had on that one side... really stiff and sore... he explained all of that and then put me on the table...
.... and proceeded to fold, spindle, and mutilate me beyond belief... then I sat up and .... huh?... wow... feels better already! ... really sore, but I could move better and the spasms had stopped!
When you lift something... please shuffle your feet instead of twisting around!

Yeah, I know all about back pain ... be careful. They say to lift with your knees (hard to do when you also have bad knees). So I find a strong guy and let him do the lifting. It's also why I have a sit-down job. But now my elbow is going on me, too ... hard to do pagination when the right elbow goes.
