HI Margo,

So you're up starting your day and I'm still trying to get some sleep in!

Sounds like everything is really coming along for you guys. I like the idea of having a time line. That's about the only way for me to get things done. Mike's more of a jump up and go guy, I have to plan, plan, plan. Unfortunately I often plan so far in advance that things change many times before my "due date" arrives. But if I don't plan I'd go nuts with worry!

I really do have to try to go back to sleep! Have a good day.

the time line was a necessity--we kept saying someday...well waiting for that is --well ya know--
i have to have deadlines and goals and lists.....so - we are moving forward tho i feel like it's a slow pace! except that we are at like 74 days to go!!!!!! so in that respect it's moving quickly!!!!
there is a lot of mental packing that has to be done for this kind of move- emotional storage needs to be unpacked and revisited and "things"  personal belongings that mean so very much like kids' report cards from second grade--will i survive if i don't keep it??? so i am gradually getting thru those  type of issues and passing things out to those who should have them or digitalizing for my own keepsake bank! a big big part of my problem is that when i left my first hubby-10 years ago!!!- i packed a lot of stuff and have not revisited the boxes or have simply shuffled things around--so it has taken me a long time to steel myself for what i will find and how to deal with it!! it has been a learning experience! and a grieving one! but i am coming out on top--example-saturday nite with my daughter going thru boxes and boxes of photos- we laughed and cried and joked and reminisced and it was good it was cleansing and i found out how few of the photos needed to be kept !!!!

i know you understand what i am describing from what i have followed with your mom and all of the belongingsand the baby ray stuff...

as for time and starting or ending the day - wow- i keep thinking about when it is 8 pm in hawaii it is already 2 am here in ohio so not a good time to call my kids!!!!

karen this non sleep thing of yours has me worried????? hugs!!!

A friend of mine had a rule when he cleaned out his garage and storage area.  If he hadn't touched it in one year, he doesn't need it.

i understand that one-problem is that i A) emotionally couldn't do it--there are still alot of feelings wrapped around that 26 years together ---- B) physically cannot get AT some of the stuff ...

so i am now about ready to tackle just about all of it! don't want to pay to ship it if i truly don't need it or if my kids don't!

It's still way early for me to be up. But, can't sleep. Thought I'd catch up on reading some posts and then try to get a bit more shut eye. I have a busy day today and really shouldn't be up for the day at 2am!

I plan to go to the gym about 6am so that I can come home, shower, and clean up before my TOPS weighin at 9am. Then I have a podiatrist appt at 2pm to get another shot in my foot to treat the neuroma. The first shot seemed to help a lot so hopefully I won't need to have surgery. I've been wearing good support shoes rather than my beloved bare feet and that is helping quite a bit. Definitely need to have the feet in good walking shape before the first of October and the Italy trip.

This time next month I'll be getting ready to fly to St. Louis for a few days with my daughter and the twin grands. What was I thinking? They fly "free" if on our laps before age two. . . they wiggle, they squirm, they whine, they do about everything except sit placidly for 3 hours. If Erin doesn't sedate them I may have to sedate myself!

We'll be there 4 days, return home, repack, and I'll head to Texas for the weekend. Then less than 3 weeks after that I have two weeks in Italy with a friend. This trip had to be postponed in April when she had to have surgery. So to say that this is a long anticipated trip is an understatement!

I recommitted myself to my food program and exercise over the past month. It's slowly showing signs of working. I'm exercising at a gym about 4 days a week doing 4-5 miles each day on the eliptical, treadmill, and stationary bike. I'm starting to do weights again in small amounts. It just takes so much time; about 2 hours when I do the whole thing! Not that I don't have it. I'm retired, but if I don't do it first thing in the morning I just have a hard time getting back at it especially in this heat.

Food wise I can tolerate just about everything so I'm trying to "think fuel" not "pleasure" when eating. I like everything and right now all of the fresh foods are making food choices easier. Fresh melon, tomatos and cucumbers out of our garden, corn, green beans. Lots of cottage cheese in this hot weather. We went through a whole watermelon and cantaloupe this weekend! For some reason leftover meats taste better to me than fresh. Cold roast, turkey, even hamburger patties or meatballs. I'll eat a couple of ounces of cold roast as a snack. I think when I have all of the "trimmings" with the meal it's hard to concentrate on the meat tho I need to. I figure as long as I  get it in at some point it doesn't really matter when.

Well, I really need to try to go back to sleep. I am absolutely wide awake so don't know if it will work or not, but I'll try. You all have a good one.

Good morning OFF friends,

I sleep horrible myself.  Is it the age or too much on our minds that keep up awake at night?  At any rate, I hope those who can sleep well had  a good night's sleep.

Margo, when I read about your looking through photos, report cards, etc., it reminded me that I just went through my stuff, and have plastic tubs for my daughters with their special photos, report cards, and things in.  They're still here, but at least somewhat organized.  Going through all the old pictures, cards, etc., does bring back lots of memories.  I look at the pictures of when I was thin and wonder how I could have allowed myself to gain all of this weight, now having to resort to RNY to help me get it off....at least there is now light at the end of the fat-lady tunnel - lol

Wishing you all a happy hump day!

Good morning Karen and all you fellow OFFers.

Easy night last night.  Most of my night was spent refreshing the blog for Big Brother, trying to find out new stuff.  Not bad for a job.

My Rangers lost, but at least Eileen's White Sox helped us out.
