Hiya, welcome to the day before Friday, I am doing my best with the food,I am nauseous and must be careful.
*Great News!! If you shop at Frys,we get an additional discount once a month, The cashier rings me up,and then asks if I am fifty or over,I say yes. She puts something permanent on my card, and takes an additional 21 bucks and change off my bill! Does that rock or what??? I went back and bought my over priced avocados, with plenty to spare!
Today I ate: an orange,a Suzy Q (hadn't had one in 5 years),2 slices of cobbler and jack cheese,2 slices pepper jack,10 bite size honey mustard pretzels, lightly seasoned,5 luscious strawberries,am gonna have cottage cheese and multi grained wassa before I go to bed,2 of them, that's the best I could do today.
As I go about my day,I will remember that I am American, and this country was built on different opinions, colors, beliefs, the works. There is no more burning at the stake...I don't think...smile. I know for me,the voice  I sometimes try to shut out,is the one I need to hear the most, the one that will make me think and question...
111 today, and I am tired of this heat,I wish I did NOT believe in hell. The devil owned Phoenix,he sold it and moved to hell because it was cooler!

I was really concerned with my weight today.  I got on the scale before I went to bed and weighed 219.  I have been trying to stay between 210 and 215.  I woke up 6 hours later and weighed 215.5.  So I feel better now.

B - Omelet
L & S - Chicken/Stuffing/Cheese casserole

Snacks - cherries, grapes, cashews, popcorn

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning Lovely Linda and George,

Lovely Linda, I hope you feel better soon.  Feeling nauseous is no fun.

George, Thankfully, the scale moved in the right direction!  Woo hoo!

Haven't eaten breakfast yet, but wanted to pop in and say hello.  I'm heading for coffee now.  I have a meeting with the bariactric nurse and my surgeon this afternoon to go over my preop diet instructions and finalize my surgery plans.  YIKES, the time is almost near - 13 days!

Have a great day!

Good Morning! Wednesday food and exercise:

Gym, 5 miles and protein shake and supplements

Breakfast: zucchini quiche, melon

Snack: yogurt

Lunch: 1 taco, rice and beans at restaurant

Snack: cucumbers, string cheese

Dinner: out with Mike. He ordered grilled pork chops, salad, baked potatos, steamed veggies. I added on 6 grilled prawns and we shared. Yummy and brought back a pork chop for Maggie! Great dinner for two for under $20.00. I feel so much better when we do this. My mother's voice is always right in my head if I order a whole meal and then "waste" it.  Even when I bring it home sometimes it doesn't get eaten because it just isn't as good later.

Tops weigh in : no loss but no gain. Must be that darn heavy muscle I'm building!

Heading to a memorial in Spokane this morning. Will be back tomorrow evening.

It was hot as hell here in NWArkansas too.  I got out of my office and walked to my car and thought I was in an oven.  Fall cannot get here soon enough.  Plus, I hate those cicadas; they never shut up.  Having said that, here's what I am eating today:

B: peanut butter sandwich

S: banana

S: banana

L: chicken wrapped in lettuce.  I'll eat some of the tortilla but first the chicken

S: tuna

S: cheese

D: steak and potatoes

S: banana and peanut butter.

Oh, yesterday, I changed my evening food to a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich and guess what, I ate an entire half without once going, man this is making me sick.  I think that was like 600 or more calories because it was real mayonaise and real bacon and regular bread.  I rocked yesterday.

What's eating me?  My back.  Right in the middle, between my shoulders, there's this pain and it is killing me.  My hubby says that my back bone feels wobbly.  I hope I don't have a ruptured disk.  It even hurts when I take a deep breath.  If it isn't better by Monday, I'm calling my arthritis man and having him take a look.  Well, that wasn't really what is eating me, that is what is hurting me.  What is eating me is those people who disagree with someone and then set out to flame and be mean.  I think we all should have our own right to voice our opinions and be heard and not have others waiting with baited breath for one word or phrase to run with and accuse and flame.  It's one thing to debate, but another to be mean.  That's all.

Linda ~ it is 54 freezing degrees here. The devil moved the heat from New York to Arizona.

I am going to the grocery store and look at different foods. Maybe it is time to shake up my menu. While cleaning the fridge, I realized that I am hoarding cottage cheese.6 big tubs of the stuff= Not good. Better than chocolate but certainly becoming a food obsession.

Take this day one minute at a time. You have plenty of friends to see you through the difficulties.

Good morning sweet one!

I know you have a tough day ahead of you and my thoughts are with you, sending gentle hugs your way.

In response to Janet's "has anyone lost three pounds" post, I answered that I had also found three what someone had misplaced. Here's the deal: I know that now that I'm approaching the three year mark of my surgery that statistically there will be weight gain. I refuse to be a statistic!!!  I know that anyone who is not rowing the same boat with us would think it crazy nuts that I would worry about 3 lbs. Even Gary scoffed at me when I told him one of my clients had asked me yesterday if I had put on weight!!!

So, help me out here folks. I've kept my food log on Fitday.com for the whole time since my surgery. Over the last six months, I have averaged 1318 calories, 36 gr fat, 157 carbs, 99 protein. My Nut's guideline is  1400 cals, 47 gr fat, 175 carb, 70 gr pro.

I admit that I don't always count the occasional piece of dark chocolate, dozen or so almonds(nut says they're so good for us I don't need to count them), or one of Kroger's free sugar cookies that I grab as I walk by. So, my calories are probably closer to the 1400 or so that the nut suggest.

Alright. Any suggestions? I really want to get this stinking, damn, rotten, lousy 3lbs off.  Here's a big DUH though.....maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to start exercizing
