What did your husbands or significant others do
Hey everyone,
I'm on my 10 day preop liquid diet now. Just wondering if you cooked for your families/husbands/SO or did they cook for themselves? I made tuna and hot dogs for my DH yesterday, today he's been working outside a lot and I haven't really seen too much of him. He told me to worry about myself and not to cook for him, but I'm feeling guilty. What did others do?

Debbie, I remember cooking for Bill. He is easy going and it sounds like your DH is too. Bill didn't worry to much about the things that I fixed for him but I felt guilty not cooking either. I thought that here he worked so hard that was the least that I could do. I don't remember being tempted by the food though.
Play it by ear and see how you do....and keep the meals simple if you need to. If there is things that he likes that you don't try fixing those for him most of the time. That way there is no temptation either.

I think tomorrow I'm going to mix up some egg salad and chicken salad. He told me to get him some Raman Noodles, so I'll just have to get him some things he can have on hand. He's determined to lose some weight and "fast" with me. That's fine, but he needs vitamin supplements and to do it healthy. I'm a Mother Hen - lol - I just don't want him getting sick. We've always had family dinners, but for a short while there is definitely going to be some change going on. Thanks for answering.

Thanks for answering. We are talking about this a lot since the time is drawing near and changes are taking place now (the liquid preop). We are in this journey together too! I'm hoping he'll lose some weight in the process of it all and he is too.
