Welcome to a new week. I am enjoying Iron Chef on the food network right now. I am thinking of trying to work artichokes into my meals. My mom made something that was delicious with them, but I remember nothing about how.
Today I had chicken, mashed tators, corn, polish dill pickles, pudding, and will have a little cottage cheese and a multi grain wassa with strawberries,is delish. Does not feel like a lot of room in the tummy today. I want to eat an apple,we shall see.
Have a great day!

Good morning Sunshine!

I enjoy Iron Chef.  It is one of the shows I DVR.  I do not always watch it, it depends on who the Iron Chef of the week is.  Bobby Flay - I don't miss.  Anyone else, I check to see what the secret ingredient is first.  Then, if it is something I like, I watch.

Decent day, but not sure about that.

B- Jr Breakfast Burrito
L - 1/2 grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans.  Some chips and queso.
S- quesodilla
S2 - chicken/cheese/stuffing casserole

Snacks - yogurt, SF pudding, cheese

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Two things you should know about me by now:

1.  I disappear on weekends.  I do the majority of my posting at work.

2.  I am never completely satisfied with what I do foodwise. That is what keeps me in maintainance mode.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

It seemed you disappeared longer this week, probably me.
Sometimes you say you have good food days. I am sorry you are not completely satisfied with your food,I do not share that.
I know you are a happy good man who loves his family and enjoys life,I guess I know the most important part.

Just checked, I was here Friday morning.   LOL.

As far as my food.  Don't be sorry.  I am my own worst critic.  No matter what I do, I know I could do better.  But that helps me maintain, so to me, the ends justifies the means.

And thank you for the compliments.  I do love my family, I enjoy my life, and I love my God.  And that is the most important part.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Morning Sweet Face!

How are you, my dear?? Hope things are settling down a bit for you.

Artichokes....love 'em, love 'em. BUT my favorite way to eat them is dipped into LF mayo, so I don't have them often.

The move to lose 3# has started working. Down 3/4 of a lb today. There's a gym near the house I'm going to go check out. It's a little expensive if you don't sign a long contract, but I've gone down that road before and spent money every month for nothing. Gotta see how the foot holds up and if I like the environment before I commit to something long term.

Yesterday:

latte x 2

cottage cheese,cantaloupe, toast

3 slices roast beef w/ Lite cream cheese

Baby shower:  2 mini quiches, 2 chunks ea  of pineapple, cantaloupe and strawberries

stir fry with scallops, shrimp, noodles and veggies. I will NEVER learn that the pouch hates spaghetti(only spaghetti, other pasta is okay) so after one bite of noodles and some shrimp it was all over. So much for dinner!

latte

smart pop mini bag

everyone have a wonderful day!

Susan

Morning Linda,

Hope this is a much better week for you and that you are finding some peace.

I am not even going to post what I have eaten, and I am not getting on a scale for a couple of days...I don't want to know as I am sure I have gained and have gained more than usual. If I get on the scale and see a certain number, my head will spin off and I will throw my hands in the air and say "To hell with it all." So I will wait a couple of days for my normal food to kick in and then weigh....I know...but it works for me...
Having Tom's mother here has been very stressful to say the least.
So I will post what I am planning to eat today

Pre B toast and coffee
B-cottage cheese and peach
S-not sure yet
L-ham and cheese roll, Peanut butter and crackers, cherries
S-yogurt, peach and kashi
D- tortilla soup
S-granola bar and tea

Take care,
Cheryl

Good Monday morning to you, lovely Linda! I hope that your week end went well....it might be a bit different but that is alright...nothing happens in God's world by mistake.

My week end was spent busy on Saturday and feeling icky Sunday. I didn't go to church yesterday because of the pain I was having. I need to mention that to the I.V. doctor tomorrow when I see her. The pains have stopped now...yesterday it was coming and going...and I am hoping that is gone now for good.

Food yesterday was a bit off...didn't eat enough but I was satisfied. I know that I have to do better today....

B: Wheaties and milk...I think...duh!
L: hamburger patty with cheese, 1 bite of both macaroni salad and potato salad...ick on both!, a few potato chips
D: nothing
S: pretzel sticks

I am going to eat another hamburger patty with cheese for breakfast...it is calling me..I hear it yelling to me right now! Boy they were good. I made them and added some new spices to them and they were wonderful...the only bad thing is I can't remember how I made the darn things! ha ha  I have to reenact the making of them....hopefully Bill will remember.

I am staying home and working on sorting papers for church meetings. I have a load of them to go through. I hate doing that....

Have a wonderful Monday and like I said in the last thread...just think the day after tomorrow is Hump day so that might bring some good news. I know...I am reaching again. Know that I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are said for everyone as you know that is done all the time. You are really having a lot of prayers said for you, little lady. I love you so...but you know that already. But then again...can we ever know to much that we are loved? I think not. We must tell everyone we love that all the time.

BTW...I weighed today and I lost the few pounds that I have been playing with for a while. I hope that I lost them and can't find them ever again. I am back down to goal weight. I am amazed...even with the swelling I have..which is a pretty good amount. See...miracles do happen! Now if they stay away is another thing...but must be positive!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
