I already have a WOW to share
Debbie,
That is one of the coolest things. I'm averaging 118 now. I stopped all my insulin too. Yesterday I took my bp and it was 87/60. That's really low, so I'm not even taking one of my bp pills anymore. I see my pcp on 8-25 and he'll really be suprised and pleased. These WOW moments are wonderful. Just wait until the weight starts dropping off.
Good going girlfriend!

87/60 bp is really low, although I don't think it is dangerously low. A friend of mine is tiny - short and probably 98 pounds soaking wet. Her blood pressure actually causes her to have seizure like episodes of fainting /blacking out. That too can be a problem. She's seeing a doctor and taking blood pressure medicine - to RAISE her bp.
My bp is rather low, or was, until I gained a ton of weight. At my heaviest, just a month ago, my bp varied from 120/60 (pretty darned good) to 140/70 (not great, but not dangerously high). I'm hoping to see that lowered as I lose more weight, and exercise.
My sugar was around 110-120 and I took metformin to lower it. I was variously diagnosed with "borderline diabetes" and with "diabetes". I have not taken metformin since before surgery (3-1/2 weeks ago).
I am just now starting to feel better (I had a complication from surgery; an infection).. and in just a few days I will be off antibiotics totally. WOW. I first got off the IV antibiotics (no pic line YEAH). Now I will soon be off the oral augmentin, which makes me feel awful and tastes like a cross between milk of magnesia and gasoline.
So I'm getting excited in spite of myself. Just the 32 pounds I have lost makes a huge difference in how I feel. For one thing, I can sit in my kitchen chair. That's a WOW.
For another, my back does not hurt with every step. ANOTHER WOW.
I can't even imagine how much better I will feel as more weight comes off. Maybe I should make a list. That sounds like a good idea - a WOW list.
