That is super good news. You are certainly going along great!

It won't be long and you will kiss the diabetes medicine bye bye. I had a insulin pump and was using u500 (5 times stronger than U100) and was taking a huge amount each day to make my bs's somewhat normal. I was taking 2 pills a day too. Dr. Stanish told me that I would be off insulin in 9 months....I was off the pills 1 month before surgery and off the pump 1 week before....and nothing since. I am blessed!

I personally still consider myself a diabetic...I am to the thought that once one always one. I could easily get the high blood sugars back. I need to remember that all the time.

Keep us posted on your new WOW's since they will be starting now! And they only keep getting better and better!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

CONGRATS to you!  That's wonderful news!  So many health benefits to having this surgery.  I'm so happy to be wow'ing already - lol

Now that is impressive.   It's just incredible.    I've never had to take insulin (knock on wood).
Still, I  hope that I can *kiss* the metformin goodbye forever.

I suspect that it would be wise for all of us to remember that diabetes can be an issue again - if we don't eat right and lose/maintain a weight loss.

Maybe we should have a WOW topic ..

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

WOO-HOOOOoooo!
Now you are in for more fun! And WOWS!
I've not taken diabetes meds since surgery, and quit blood pressure meds shortly after that. I will find out the status of my diabetes this Friday when I have my 3-month post-op checkup. I am hoping that my A1c will be in the normal range.
So enjoy the ride, and keep posting those WOWs!
