jeannie and all- i have enjoyed this thread this morning--i'll save my stories....i can't top any of yours--tho i WAS a cashier for years and as a cashier i also saw the customer who couldn't stop talking long enough to transact business....

Now, I hate those too.  Standing there waiting and waiting and waiting and watching as chatty cathy cannot get her check made out.  It always goes both ways.

Right on! I can't stand people talking in public on the phone. And I really have a problem with perfumes because of my allergies. There are several people who I can smell coming a mile away ... you don't have to pour the whole bottle on you. And smokers are a real pain, too. We fortunately have a smoke-free workplace, but those who still smoke come in from wherever they have been smoking and just reek of it, and take that smell into the elevators ... yuck!

My grandson's doctor told us that women and men who smoke, still have it in their hair and skin and clothes and even though they think they are not exposing their kids to the smoke, for a few minutes after their cigg. the child still gets exposure to smoke and nicotiene.  We make our daughter decontaminate. LOL.  She says that I am OCD about smoke.  Yep.  I am.

I can see where there is a time and place for the bluetooth.  I do not like to drive and talk on the phone but I do when it is necessary and it is difficult to drive and hold the cell. 

I think texting is one of those things that has taken the teens by storm.  I like that they are writing and texting is writing and I like that they are multitasking, but I don't think the texting replaces human sociological interactions that are crucial for human development.  But, as long as they do some face to face talking, I suppose the texting can be benefitial.
