Linda....good morning sweetie!!

A mothers love is unconditional....you and Olivia need each other...you need your grands too!! Do what you need to do for each other.

Vicodin is a powerful med....it cuts the pain for me almost
immediately. I try hard to use it more then necessary...I am so afraid of getting addicted. I know people who are....it isn't a good thing.

Hope you have a beautiful day... prayers are going up for you.

B-Boost
S-banana
L-chili w/cheese
D-taco salad
S-popcorn

Love you bunches...hugs....Boo...to you!

Good morning everyone! I completely missed posting yesterday! it was such a busy chaotic day with hubby home,,so I didnt get much computer time in. We never did go to the fair. We just yard saled and picked beans and  he worked on the grandson's car while I held the great grandbaby..

But today is another day, so here I am.
Linda, so glad you and Olivia are getting better. I can so relate to those problems, I have 3 kids of my own, and three step kids (that we never see, their choice, and they have 7 grandkids we dont see either)) and they can break  your heart for sure. You are so right about a mothers love,,but sometimes its so hard to be a MOM!

My menu today is gonna be sparse,,Im sick of being just a tad too big for my favorite clothes!!

B- 1 tiny slice zuchinni bread
S- cheese
L- cottage  cheese and tomatoes
S- peanut butter
D- chicken breast and sliced tomatoes

Lots of liquids too throughout the day.

Have a good one everybody!

Boo,you are amazing, people who do not have kids do not understand our love we have for them.
There was an idiot who said something stupid in my shame post, but she has never had a child. They do not understand that through the pain, disappointment and everything else, there is an undying love,I feel sorry for her and did not answer her.
You know Boo,you understand, and I love you for it. If I can not help my child, nothing else is worthwhile.
Please continue your most welcome prayers.
I love you.

Good morning. Linda, I hope that this Friday is a happy one for you. Ask me tomorrow if it was for me...I should know by then.

I am so glad that you and Olivia are back to somewhat normal. I know that you were so upset and your heart broke. She is your daughter and you need each other. A parent never stops needing their children any more than the child stops needing their parents. I am keeping you all in my prayers. I am so happy that the kids are doing good. You need them too, just as they need you. You and the boys are very important to each other. Blessings on you all.

I know what you are saying about the pain meds. Both Bill and I use them everyday and that is just a fact of life. I don't feel that either of us are addicts. I am grateful for that. I agree with the statement that someone (cr****s me often too...I forget who said it...sorry) that those that need them are seldom the ones that are addicted. I work really hard at not using them but I am so glad that they are there when I need them. Bill uses the same pills that I do and he uses only half the dosage that is allowed him.

Food yesterday was pretty good. I did get all 3 meals in with no snacks but that is alright. I don't need the snacks all the time...but I am glad that they are there when I do need them.

B: sf oatmeal with a peach...OH BOY...that was deelish for sure
L: chicken with some potato
D: hot dog and chili with cheese...another OH BOY moment!
S: nothing

Bill might come home today. He walked 6 steps yesterday and got out of breath so I don't know what is going to happen there. I hope that things go to normal. Not sure about if things are ever "normal" though. You know what I mean about that I am sure.

Have a great day and know that I am sending love and hugs to you and prayers are being said for you and yours today. Make sure that you scatter things to someone...even if it is back to yourself. That isn't always bad either.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Linda,

Sounds like things are going better with Olivia - I'm so glad.

B: cottage cheese & Greek yogurt w/ mixed berries
S: a chocolate donut!  (I haven't had one in 2 years - used to buy a dozen and eat my way through them - but this was one donut in a coffee shop, so less binge potential, and I enjoyed every bite)
L: 3 raw oysters, seafood salad
S: iced skinny latte
D: 1/4 of a spinach & cheese quesadilla (we went out for Mexican food)
S: pineapple cake with Cool Whip

Lisa's mom, Rose,  made and brought the pineapple cake last night.  When Lisa's parents were getting ready to go home, I saw that they had left the cake on the counter and almost blurted out, "You're not leaving the cake here, are you?"  Probably would've hurt Rose's feelings...Later, I caught Lisa nibbling on the cake.  "I just have to even it up here," she said.  "Yeah, I've eaten a whole cake while evening it up!" I said.

I bought a tee shirt yesterday that is perfect for me in many ways.  It says: DOGS ARE LIKE POTATO CHIPS...YOU CAN'T HAVE JUST ONE.

Jean,I do not think things will ever be the same with Olivia and I, but there will be a relationship, she is my baby.
I love the tee....LOL.
Happy to hear you enjoyed your donut,i enjoyed my Suzy Q,but of course the memory was better than the taste, and I gave the box away.
Good for you on not nibbling, and realizing who you are.
It is like AA says one drink is too many,100 is not enough.
I am happy to hear you had a glorious time.you deserve it.
Hugs,sweet lady.
