finally--FRIDAY!!!! what's new revue.....
ok-so-wow--i am blown away to read darlene's post about kirk's passing...if you knew him or didn't-his passing is a great loss to the world of OH...(formerly AMOS) go read bo's thread-darlene has the link---the photos folks have posted show the warmth of the man..i wish i could get my pic on there but -even with jan s's help--it isn't worth my efforts this morning-maybe tonite i will...i had the pleasure of meeting him in LA in 2004 when i met darlene and windy pat and jeannie granata and sally...who else-debra ruth-oh and so many others--anyhow- now i have to regroup myhead a bit for today...
on a more positive note- roxie was a trooper for her rabies shot! barely whimpered! she laid on the table while doc r and michael and i talked she loves him! brody boy was jealous that he didn't get to go for a ride in the car!we made up for it in lovin later !
just as i got home yesterday, my phone rang and the nicest gal was on the other end wanting to see our house!!! so tonite we have a showing at 5pm...please-good vibes, chicken swinging and prayers are all accepted here folks!!! as is throwing of cash money --seriously- we need to get this house sold asap!!! so we were in straightening and freshening mode last nite- michael will clean the bathrooms and vacuum while i am at work and i'll do whatever last minute i can when i get home...
tomorrow morning is alexa's memorial service- i have to be at a co worker's house an hour before hand so the 4 of us can get seats at the church...probly will spend some time in my closet tonite to find something appropriate to wear..
my youngest son wants to know what i am doing sunday...i am hoping he doesn't want to come here but i think he will...i would like the day to just goof off and not get dressed and do some more packing...however-i love my baby so ....
well- what is on your weekend's agenda????
we have a few folks MIA again- nancy b at least posted a joke...marc pops in sometimes...maui karen is hopefully dry and not too windblown--mickey s hasn't popped in lately nor monica bond or paula shoutjoy....marti o..a whole passle of ppl!!!!!!!! come on out folks- drop in and say hi at least!!!!

Wow Margo, you sure have had a lot of activity on the house. The law of averages dictates that with all the showings, someone is going to make a deal. I can feel it in my bones!
My thoughts will be will you this weekend as you show the house and go to the memorial. I know it will be tough for everyone.
Last night was our monthly support group meeting. We had a small turn out, only 11(including me) in the post op meeting, but between us we have lost almost 1,000 lbs. One lady has lost 170lbs in 10 months. She was the star of the show! The pre-op group was very big, probably 50+ people, all hopeful and looking for all the right answers. We do the best we can.
I miss some of our folks too! Come out, come out wherever you are!!!!

I am here, just having a very hard time lately...... Finally put on some weight. Slipped off the alcohol wagon and got in trouble again...sober now for 24 days. Met another women from my old job who also got the transfer addiction devil and got an ucler and was rushed to surgery. Life is not what I expected and that is so hard. It is so easy to hide and that is what I am doing. Difficult to converse with people.

Don't be a stranger. I too struggle with addictions ... mine is spending ... maybe not as serious as alcohol, but really deadly for me since I had to declare bankruptcy because of it (not really a transfer addiction because I had it along with overeating). When I'm lonely and bored, I want to buy things and talk to someone ... and so I call QVC so I can talk to someone ... I know, stupid. I am in therapy for my emotional eating and spending, and I think I'll probably be there for the rest of my life, because I keep slipping back. It's also why I stay on this board, to stay connected. I know I babble on a lot, and that probably ticks some people off, but if I didn't have this board to unload on, I'd probably be 400 pounds again and deeper in debt.
When I get the need, I call a friend and talk. So pick up the phone ... I'm in the directory and I'm home all day (I work nights, though ... so not too early). I'm always willing to listen.

Have you tried offering your home on Craigslist? It's free and lots of people out here use it. I've bought both my past cars on it. We buys lots of stuff on craigslist and sell lots because of the free listing.

TGIF!!! So happy it's finally here, work has been WORK with all caps this past week and I am glad that I have nothing too pressing this weekend, though I am meeting with Jacki (Mystic) (from our Forum) for lunch tomorrow, which I am looking forward to, along with mowing the front and backyards, vacuuming Dillinger furballs, laundry, cooking,, taking my roommate to visit someone on Sunday, so glad I don't have anything else on the agenda for the weekend (lol). . . Thank God I've lost weight, because I now have the energy to do all the things on my list and sitting still has become the problem, rather than the thing I always did before. . .
Well folks, I gotta get busy so I can get out the door. . .
