Its Saturday so Talk on, Brenda and I are starting the thriead!!!!!
Hi Jeane:
Carb Master yogurt is only available from Kroger Stores -- it's their brand. It has 12 gm. of protein, only 1.5 gm. fat, and 80 calories. I love the strawberry/pomegranite (sp). I get 10 for $4.00....pretty cheap and I eat it almost every day for breakfast.

Done! Your Ticker:
Good morning to you, Carla and Brenda. tee hee I am sending top of the mornings to all my OFF siblings and hope that your weekend start day is going well.
I can't believe that Carla and I talked until after midnight...my time...and one her time. We start on one subject and then end up talking about something entirely different that what we started out chatting about. I guess that is typical of us experienced chatters.
Bill always tells me I never stop talking...surely he must be wrong on that one. I can see that he is wrong....me on the other hand I was wrong ONE time but I was mistaken.
Talking about Bill, he might come home today from the hospital. He was coming home yesterday but I mentioned to the nurse the incident about the shortness of breath with the 6 steps he took without the oxygen. She notified the doctor and said no home and called in a pulmonologist. He ordered some tests and they came back pretty good with the exception of the chest x ray. I talked to the doctor on the phone and he told me that the best thing Bill ever did was stop smoking because there was signs of early emphysema and the fumes from the bleach further irritated his lungs. So what I have told him for about the last year is true...far be it from me to say "I told you so". I was telling him that I thought he was in the early stages of it and he just pooh poohed me when I would. You would think that after all this time he would know that sometimes I know of what I speak. But the important thing is that he isn't smoking and he is doing well. He is starting his 6th week without the smelly things and doing well. He gets physically sick when he smells them so that is great. I think that nothing happens in God's world by mistake and he stopped smoking before this happened to help him through this. God is always at work in his and my life even when we don't think He is. FYI...Bill and I have God as our higher power. The other good news that happened with Bill yesterday is that he was put into a regular room and taken out of the step down unit of the ICU. So that is good...
I got somewhere yesterday with workman's comp and the company that he works for. I got the insurance woman at the corporate office and she helped a lot. Bill's supervisor and operations manager really dropped the ball and is going to cost the company some fines for not getting the paper work to me in the first place. They have 24 hours from the time of the accident to get the paper work in and after that they are fined $50 a day. Well since that happened on Tuesday at about 7 p.m. the fines are accumulating. Bill got the papers last night and I am not getting them until today so there goes the time...what a shame....and I am not faxing them in either. I have no access to a fax machine and so they can get them from me. His supervisor lives right here in Portage so she can come get them. It is the least that she can do for the crap she has done. They are worthless, both of them. I told the insurance woman from corporate that I am not impressed with the operations manager at all. I told him that he has never even asked how Bill is...and I thought that is rude. He finally called me yesterday afternoon for the first time and he still never asked how he is. Oh well, can you tell that I am pissed at them two?
I guess I should get going since I have been going on and on for long enough. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone. Have a great day and don't forget to scatter, scatter and scatter some more.

Hi Carla and Brenda:
Have a good time in Denver, you traveling girl! I wish I could just take off and go ... but off to work I go today. Then tomorrow off I go to Chicago (or actually, Franklin Park to pick up mom and then off to Northbrook to my brother Ed's 60th birthday party. I wanted to find some black balloons or something nasty, but couldn't find anything. So I guess I'll be nice. I just got him beer ... Bell's Oberon, which he can't get in Illinois.)
Anyway, work was fairly quiet last night; got out of there at about midnight. One of the editors, April, hasn't worked a wire shift for nine years. She used to be the Sunday editor when I started ... she was a lot fun, actually ... she would have opening day parties on Saturday night and bring in hot dogs and peanuts and things like that, and everyone would wear baseball caps and baseball T-shirts. But she's been the editorial page editor for the past nine years. She still does that, but doesn't write the editorials anymore, just edits them and paginates the page. And they changed how the desk runs ... everyone's going to learn how to do every page now, so it's a true universal desk. So April is doing features pages and wire pages. So I had to school her in what to expect on Friday wire ... like how long to what on the lottery numbers. Funny, because April used to sit next to me and help me out when I first started.
I have to work tonight again. I'm really tired ... I'm so glad I have next Tuesday ... I really need an extra day off. I need to schedule my two weeks of vacation, or staycation, actually. I usually take off a week in October to sit home and watch the baseball playoffs, so I'll figure that out soon.
Well, that's all for me. Brenda, I hope Bill is doing better. Margo, I hope you get some nibbles on the house. I know waiting is tough (although I've never sold one, I remember putting in a bid and having it turned down, and crying over that).
Have a good day.
