Quitting smoking

Good for you for quitting. I can imagine it's hard, although I've never started. We had a guy at work who had to give up smoking when he broke his leg ... the leg wasn't healing because it wasn't getting enough blood flow, and the doctors figured it was because of his smoking. And he had to give it up cold turkey, no aids. He was very grumpy sometimes, you can imagine.

The hardest thing I had to give up was caffeine when I was on my two-week pre-op diet, and I had to get up at 3 a.m. for work ... God, i was crabby! The first week was the hardest.

I wish you success!

I quit smoking 33 years ago doing exactly what you are doing.
I was a heavy smoker and had tried quitting several times and always went back to smoking.  Then one morning I got up and decided not to have a cigarette until after breakfast, and then I decided to continue and not have one until after lunch and then after dinner, etc.  I haven't smoked a cigarette since that day.  My husband told me months later that he was convinced that I would never be able to quit because I was so addicted.  He was very pleased.
I wish you well and hope that you are to continue with your decreasing and then quitting.

Thank you dreamer. I really want to quit, but dont want to ture to food when I do, so it will have to be this process. And I know I must eliminate stress, but it kinds seeks me out everyday. This is a hard thing for me to do. Quitting drugs years ago was hard, but was easier it seems than smoking.
Continuing to decrease is getting better every day.
 Thanks congratulations on your journey.
