What's New Revue - Monday morning coming at ya!
Started the day on Friday going to the circus with all the grandkids. Bought each family one program to share. They had a great time.
Then I went to AT&T to get a new phone. Spent one hour looking at what they had and picked up the IPhone. Love it. At least I did. The gal that sold it to me told me I could get live TV on it. You can't. Returned it Saturday and kept my old phone. I love being able to watch TV.
Friday night was the Rangers game. With my oldest grandson (Eddie). The Rangers had the lead going into the 9th inning. They were ahead 4-3 with a 2 ball and 2 strike count on Victor Martinez. And then the bottom fell out. Six runs.
Got up Saturday morning to check out the updates on Big Brother. What a surprise I got there!!!!
Then I went to work. Took Mary out to lunch. Then went to the ballgame with my son and his two youngest. Had a great time. Wonderful game.
Today we slept in. Skipped church. Ooops. I woke up at 11, after going to bed at 3. I got 8 hours of sleep. Wow! Watched the ballgame. Then went to get new shoes and came home to watch Big Brother before coming to work.
Sorry to bore you all, but I was quite busy this weekend.
So, what did you do this weekend and what are your plans today?
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Today begins the back to the semester meetings. I hate them because they basically say the same thing over and over. Then begins the back to school get togethers and meet and greets and welcoming new professors. I pick and choose which ones I want to attend and it is so political that if I'm not careful, I'll **** off the wrong people.
But, today, before the meetings, I'm taking Penny, the new kitty, to the vet for her blood work and shots. She is so tiny that they may not start anything for a while. Last night, Ginger, the big kitty, was snuggled up to my back, which I love, and the new kitty, Penny, was sleeping in the curve of my neck. Hubby came to bed and took Penny and snuggled with her. I said, what are you doing, and he said, she was crying, and I said, no she wasn't, and he said, yeah but you have Ginger. He is so jealous. LOL
So, that's it. And George, you never bore us.
Have a good day all.

Academics can be just as political and nasty as any corporation.
Hub and I had a tiny little kitty named Jake Gittes ... he was so small and frightened. Now he is huge and has the biggest paws of any cat I ever saw.
We had fun naming kitties (we have two now)... A cat must have a name that is particular so he can hold up his tail perpendiular. (TS Eliot)
One kitty is named Mazel Tov, and the other Jake Gittes. We had a cat Dashiell Marlowe for 16 years before Jake.
I'm an English and Latin teacher; although, I haven't taught Latin for three semesters.
We have Ginger, our year old cat, and we now have Penny, six weeks old. Before Ginger, about four years before, we had Boots and he was old when we put him down. He had cancer. And we also had Little Girl, who was born before my son and died when my son was 19ish. She died of old age and was blind and deaf and had arthritis so bad that she could no longer jump up on the sofa but we lifted her and fed her and carried her to the litter box. I learned from her death not to let Boots suffer. Now, we have two more. I love cats. I think they are the master minds of the universe and if we spoke their language, we would have the keys to every thing. LOL

When I lived in Chicago, there was a play about cats (Not CATS the broadway play).
It was local comedy - but i found it hysterical. When a cat linguist interpreted their communications, they conclued that cats essentially say two things to humans:
(1) Everything here is mine; and
(2) Hurry up with dinner.
Come to think of it, I suppose if we spoke that language, we would have the keys to everything.

My cats have Jewish names too. That is cause It has to be in the family....
My black cat is Tevia Lewis Klein and his sister they are litter mates is named Pitt...Princess in Training or sometimes I call her Jap. Jewish American Princess!!!!!
My cousin had a dog Named Mazel Tov... He was a ****er spaniel.

thank you all for the compliments on my new pic--the inperson version is even better!!!! i had on my sundress bought for panama- it's just a walmart one-but i looked good! was actually pleased when i looked in the mirror!!!!!
george- i am not bored -tho i no longer follow baseball- i was an indians fan when mike hargrove was still manager there- manny ramirez and carlos bierga and jim thome...but i lost interest in 1999 when my life changed for various reasons other than baseball- and once i got away from it- well... i enjoy your stories of what you all did .do--and i'll bet the circus was a blast!!!
jeannie- the kitty story is so true- of course he (kenny) is jealous!!! roxie was snuggled up to me this morning and brody was hanging on to michael (not really but it looked like it!) my callie cat comes and goes during the night --my quiet time with her yesterday in my lap was a true rarity and i enjoyed it- i hope she did as well!
michael worked his arse off yesterday and has the basement almost back to normal-well; better than normal--he sent me for paint and he sprayed all of the support posts and fixed the carpet - that entailed removing all of said support posts and replacing them--i swear i don't know how he does some of this stuff! me- i took the 3 ceiling fans -liv rm , kitchen, dining area- apart and washed the globes, dusted the blades well and also de-cobbed the rooms --the cob webs are one thing but they had turned black from smoke-go figure!and i cooked and did dishes...whooppee!
of course, when michael cleans there is now a whole new pile of crapola outside the basement to be rid of!
this morning; he'll take me to work at 8 and pick me up at 11- we will then go to the hospital for his cystoscopy...joy is not in his vocabulary for this procedure! i want to be there for him and to hear the doc afterwards..they give him a local and tell him he can drive but i want to be there...so i have packed my calendar and some bills and will sit and work on that .
really don't know anything else- sooooooo wanting an offer on this house!!!!
hugs and prayers.....
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
